Drawing from Psalm 103, this sermon explores the overwhelming goodness, mercy, and faithfulness of God. The message highlights David's call to "bless the Lord" by intentionally remembering God's blessings, including forgiveness, healing, redemption, compassion, and steadfast love. Through the psalm's vivid imagery, the congregation is reminded that God's love is immeasurable, extending as high as the heavens and removing sin as far as the east is from the west.

Join us at 9:30am Sunday for our in-person sermon or watch for our online service to be posted here by Saturday evening.

By awesome deeds you answer us with deliverance, O God of our salvation; you are the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas. By your strength you established the mountains; you are girded with might. You silence the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples. Those who live at earth’s farthest bounds are awed by your signs; you make the gateways of the morning and the evening shout for joy. ~ Psalm 65:5-8

On this day of Pentecost, Pastor Katie reads from Acts 2:1-18, the story of the Holy Spirit descending upon the disciples. Though they came from many different walks of life and spoke many different languages, each person heard the word of God in their own native tongue. “Suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind… Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them” (Acts 2:2–3).

Katie then begs the question: what will this return really look like? Will the Holy Spirit arrive with a giant neon sign proclaiming, “I’m back!” or will it come as subtly as a gentle breeze, unseen, yet undeniably present? No matter how the Spirit may return, we know that until then, we are called to carry this story of Pentecost with us, continuing the work of the Holy Spirit, to invite others into that work, and together, welcome one another in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

"Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised
in the city of our God.
His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation,
is the joy of all the earth,
Mount Zion, in the far north,
the city of the great King."
