I Cried My Way to Work… But I Didn’t Quit.

There was a time in my life when things were extremely difficult financially.

I was working as a church secretary making very little money, and one day my car was repossessed right off the church parking lot.

After that, I drove an old Cadillac Seville my father had given me. The gas gauge didn’t even work, so sometimes I would run out of gas because I didn’t know how much was left.

Every morning I would put on my professional clothes, do my makeup the best I knew how, and drive from Black Jack to the city.

And many days I cried the entire drive.

I would ask God, “When will this season be over?”

But even in that season, I had already said yes to God.

And that’s the key.

Saying yes doesn’t mean the journey will be easy.
It means you’re committed to walking through the season until the promise shows up.

Sometimes faith looks like getting up, getting dressed, and going anyway.

And when the moment comes, all you can say is:

“Let’s go.”

𝗣𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝟮𝟳:𝟭𝟬
"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up."

Even in places of disappointment, abandonment, or grief, God remains a sure place of care.

Beloved, people may fail in ways that wound deeply, but the Lord still gathers, lifts, and holds. His nurture reaches where human love fell short.

Jesus Was Loving… But He Wasn’t a Doormat.

Many believers have been taught that walking in love means allowing people to mistreat them or take advantage of them.

Under the banner of “What would Jesus do?” some people have been conditioned to believe that Christians should simply endure unhealthy behavior.

But Scripture presents a different picture.

Jesus was compassionate and loving, but He was never passive.

He confronted hypocrisy.
He corrected wrongdoing.
He even overturned tables in the temple when people dishonored God.

Jesus modeled both love and authority.

We also see this principle early in Scripture.
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, He removed them from the Garden of Eden.

God still loved them.
He still cared for them.
But their level of access changed because boundaries were necessary.

Healthy boundaries are not the opposite of love.
They are often an expression of wisdom.

"Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised."

Beauty may be noticed, but reverence for God is what gives a woman lasting weight.

Beloved, build what lasts. Let your life be shaped more by devotion than by appearance. Grace, wisdom, and holy fear create a legacy that time cannot erase.

𝗗𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝟯𝟭:𝟲
"Be strong and of a good courage… he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."

Strength grows where God’s presence is trusted. Woman of God, you are not abandoned in this season.

Be strong, not because life is easy, but because the Lord will not fail you. Let that truth steady your courage today.

Jesus Didn’t Just Save Us — He Showed Us How to Live.

Jesus is often described as our Savior, and that is absolutely true.

But He is also our Teacher.

While He came to redeem humanity, He also came to demonstrate how life should be lived according to God’s design.

Scripture is not only a love letter from God to His people.
It is also an instruction manual for how to navigate life.

Hebrews 4:15 reminds us that Jesus understands our struggles because He was tempted in every way we are, yet He did not sin.

This means the challenges we face today are not unfamiliar territory.

The Word of God already contains principles and examples that guide us through every situation.

Even when our commitment to God feels heavy and difficult, Jesus has already shown us how to carry that calling faithfully.

The same grace that sustained Him is available to sustain us.

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

Beloved, your cares are not too small, too messy, or too repetitive for God.

Cast them on Him fully. His care is personal, steady, and compassionate. You do not have to carry silent burdens when the Lord invites you to hand them over.

"A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion."

Discretion is a form of wisdom that protects both peace and purpose.

Beloved, not everything requires an announcement. Some things need prayer, patience, and quiet stewardship. Grace knows when to speak, and wisdom knows when to wait.

𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗮𝗵 𝟰𝟯:𝟮
"When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee…"

Heavy seasons are real, but so is God’s presence in them.

Beloved, you will not drown in what you’re walking through. The waters may rise, but they will not overtake you. You are accompanied, covered, and kept by the Lord.

𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝟭𝟬:𝟭𝟰
"I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep…"

You are not lost in the crowd to God. He knows you personally, intimately, fully.

Beloved, let that truth comfort you today. The Good Shepherd doesn’t just watch over groups—He cares for individuals, and yes, that includes you.
