I Cried My Way to Work… But I Didn’t Quit.
There was a time in my life when things were extremely difficult financially.
I was working as a church secretary making very little money, and one day my car was repossessed right off the church parking lot.
After that, I drove an old Cadillac Seville my father had given me. The gas gauge didn’t even work, so sometimes I would run out of gas because I didn’t know how much was left.
Every morning I would put on my professional clothes, do my makeup the best I knew how, and drive from Black Jack to the city.
And many days I cried the entire drive.
I would ask God, “When will this season be over?”
But even in that season, I had already said yes to God.
And that’s the key.
Saying yes doesn’t mean the journey will be easy.
It means you’re committed to walking through the season until the promise shows up.
Sometimes faith looks like getting up, getting dressed, and going anyway.
And when the moment comes, all you can say is:
“Let’s go.”
