With heavy hearts, We announce the passing of our beloved Founder, Elder Jessie J. Smith, the visionary of New Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ.

His faith, dedication, and unwavering commitment to God laid the foundation for the ministry we are blessed to be part of today. Because of his obedience and sacrifice, countless lives have been touched and transformed.

We honor his legacy, his strength, and his love for God’s people. Though he is no longer with us, his impact will forever live on in the life of New Mt. Zion.

Please keep the Smith family and our entire church family in your prayers during this time.

𝗔 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗭𝗶𝗼𝗻! 🌸✨

We are still reflecting on the goodness of the Lord from this past Sunday! Our Mother’s Day celebration was filled with love, honor, and the unmistakable presence of God.

Our hearts were moved by a powerful testimony from one of our young men. He shared of the 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 and how the Lord has kept him and is still keeping him to this very day! We continue to lift up our youth in prayer, asking the Lord to cover them, strengthen them, and shield them through all that they endure. 🙏🏾🛡️

💐𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱-𝗔-𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘁:

All of our mothers were treated to a beautiful 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁 where they could build their own custom bouquets to take home. It was such a sweet, unique way to remind them that they are cherished and "blooming" in the Kingdom!

We love our mothers at 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗭𝗶𝗼𝗻! To every mother, grandmother, and spiritual mother, we hope your day was as beautiful as you are.
