A Prayer for the Day of Reflection⁠

God in our brokenness,
God in our reforming:
you know better than we do
the wounds we carry
and the harm we have done.
You know better than we do
how to heal the hurt
and repair the damage.
Be with us – all of us –
so that we do not separate
ourselves from the other,
trying to end the pain.
But bind us together
with a strength not our own,
and with your cleansing peace,
so that the scars can form
and new growth begin.
Amen.

We had a wonderful time hosting the PDA team from our home presbytery again this week! Their hard work and commitment are inspiring. Thursday evening we invited neighboring churches to join us for a BBQ supper, and welcomed back our friends from the Church of the Brethren disaster response team.
