All Saints Sunday, November 1 (11am worship): Remembering Our Loved Ones

All Saints’ Day is a time to rejoice in all who through the ages have faithfully served the Lord. The day reminds us that we are part of one continuing, living communion of saints.Rather than putting saints on pedestals as holy people set apart in glory, we give glory to God for the ordinary, holy lives of the believers in this and every age.

Come join us for worship this Sunday.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God… For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we may walk in them.” Ephesians 2.8, 9

We worshipped together and gave thanks to God for the blessings we share with our pets! Thanks to the good work Mitchell County Animal Rescue, Inc-North Carolina and their leader Kt Elkins.

Amen.

As we continue to pray for everyone in the path of Hurricane Isaias, we also hold in prayer our siblings in Panamá and neighboring countries affected by the recent magnitude 7.7 earthquake. Our colleagues with the Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People (SDOP) have been in contact with partners in the region, and we give thanks that they are safe.

With Mitchell County Animal Rescue, Inc-North Carolina – we just made it onto their weekly engagement list by being one of their top engagers! 🎉
