On today's Motivational Monday, Fr. Zach reminds us that love isn't something we keep for ourselves. It is something we give away. Jesus calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves—but that also means learning to see ourselves as God sees us, with dignity, mercy, and love.

Congrats to Sister Cecilia Marie, O.P. of the Holy Trinity (right), who solemnly professed her vows of consecration to God until death as a Dominican nun in the presence of her community and members of her family and friends on May 30! These Dominican nuns are based at the Monastery of Mary the Queen in Girard in our diocese. Sister Cecilia is a native of Trinidad and Tobago and of St. Lucia. TODAY IS A BIG DAY! The U.S. bishops will consecrate our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus during a special Mass this afternoon. This historic act also marks the 250th anniversary of the United States (1776–2026).

✝️ IHS is a symbol for Jesus Christ and comes from the first three letters of Jesus’ name in Greek: ΙΗΣΟΥΣ. Specifically, it uses the letters iota (I), eta (H), and sigma (Σ)—which became IHS when transliterated into Latin characters. It’s also commonly understood as: Iesus Hominum Salvator — “Jesus, Savior of Humanity.”
