🎓 Congratulations to the 2026 SDCCW Scholarship recipients!

The Springfield Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (SDCCW) awarded four $2,000 scholarships to these outstanding young women from across the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois:

✨ Callie Faller — St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, Dieterich
✨ Hannah Essex — St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Chatham
✨ Mia Lieberman — Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, Maryville
✨ Leah Kulek — Little Flower Parish, Springfield

Selected from more than 50 applicants, these young women demonstrated a strong commitment to their Catholic faith, service, education, and their parish communities.

A victory – for now. Earlier this month, Bishop Thomas John Paprocki joined the Lutheran Nursing Home, and four doctors, suing Illinois to block a Sept. 12 law that would force su***de on their patients. The Court signed the order, so HSHS and OSF Healthcare are protected at their locations in the Diocese of Springfield for now. Details can be found in this Catholic Times article - go.dio.org/e7g

Here, the St. Anne Altar Society (1936-2026) of St. Mary and St. Mark Parish (Also known as Our Lady of Czestochowa Church), in Madison, Illinois, recently celebrated their 90th Anniversary!
