This Communion Sunday is also our final Summer Psalms Sunday. Come hear Pastor Stephen’s sermon on Psalm 19 titled, “The Heavens Above Us and the Law Among Us,” as we participate together in the means of grace—Word, prayer, and sacrament—at Exodus.

Parents of Exodus kids: as we resume Children's Sunday School on the 13th, we're focusing on something central: preparing our kids to participate in the worship of God. Please join us from 9:20–9:50 a.m. in the Adult Sunday School room, where Jason and Andrea Jordan will share practical ways to help children of every age engage in worship and ease the transition from nursery into the service. Meanwhile, Craig and Megan Dunham will meet with the kids in the sanctuary to walk through the "whats and whys" of our Sunday gatherings.

So, check your children into the sanctuary at 9:15 and be in the Adult Sunday School room by 9:20. We'll break at 9:50 and continue into our 10 a.m. Communion service! See you at 2450 Taylor Avenue.

How do we continue to worship God when we see the fortunes of the wicked seemingly exceed those of the righteous? This Sunday, guest preacher Clark Emerson will preach from Psalm 73 as part of his sermon titled, “The Christian’s Net Worth,” and encourage us that since God is our portion, we can (and should still) worship God in a wicked world.

Also, since August is a month with a fifth Sunday, you’re invited to come at 9 a.m. for church-wide prayer, followed by fellowship and a light brunch of bacon and other goodies from 9:30-9:50 a.m. In addition, we’ll receive our diaconal offering to help those within and without the church in financial need. Come early and give generously!

What are the reasons we praise God? How do we praise God (and does it really matter)? Why is it important to “enter His gates” and be part of a local church gathering together to worship?

This Sunday, Pastor Stephen will open the Scriptures to Psalm 100 to help answer these questions and more in his sermon titled, “A Call to Worship.” The service begins at 10 a.m. at 2450 Taylor Avenue. Come worship with us.

This Sunday, we come to Psalm 130, one of the Songs of Ascents sung by pilgrims on the road going up to Jerusalem, as prayed by a man at the bottom of his world. It is a cry that comes out of the depths…and a cry God answers by bringing him out of them.

As our Summer Psalms series nears its conclusion, Ruling Elder Craig Dunham will consider where forgiveness is located, what it means to wait on a God who has spoken, and why the psalm ends not with one man's rescue but with a word to all of Israel.

Come worship Sunday at 2450 Taylor Avenue at 10 a.m.

Psalm 104 says the God of heaven and earth rejoices in the works of His creation and heaven and earth bear witness to His glory as He cares for His creatures by setting the world in order. So why does the world often feel in disarray?

This Sunday, come learn more of God and His good order as Ruling Elder Jason Jordan preaches a sermon titled, “O Worship the King.”

NOTE: There is no adult or children’s Sunday School this Sunday and all of August. Sunday School for adults and children will resume September 13.

This Communion Sunday, Pastor Stephen will preach on Psalm 8 in a message titled, “The Dignity of Man.”

Psalm 8 is the definition of a what a hymn is: it celebrates the glory of God; it evokes wonder at His creation and His love for mankind; and it humbles us to worship Him when we consider how much dignity He has ascribed to human beings.

If you're looking to connect with this creative and loving God through His Word and His people, join us at Exodus this Sunday from 10-11 a.m. https://exoduspres.org/plan-your-visit
