Heart & Soul - 1.30.26

“Where in my life have I become too comfortable?”

“What do I need to do practically in my life to change my perspective on what it really means to be a follower of Jesus?”

The Lord had this night in mind from the beginning, and it was a gift to see His plan, not our own, unfold at H+S.

This community and these nights are a blessing, and we’re glad you’re all a part of it!

CHRISTMAS PARTY 🎄

If there’s one thing this ministry is great at — it’s gathering in community with JOY!

We wanted this year to feel like Christmas morning… breakfast, coffee, cozy socks, and our new tradition of Christmas trivia. A huge shoutout to some of our own 20s for serving at our pop-up cafe, and to everyone for coming in their Christmas fits and bringing their competitive spirit! 👏 It was the best way to celebrate the season.

Harvest 20s Christmas Party🎄

Join us next Saturday — Dec 13! We’ll worship together at the 5pm Grand Haven service (come sit with us up front), then party starts at 7pm!

We’re leaning into JOY this Christmas as we celebrate Jesus together. It’s going to be a great night of worship, community, and fun.

CEDAR BEND 2025
Even with the rainy, fall weather — the impact of this weekend retreat for our 20s ministry is undeniable.

80 young adults set aside the time to gather together, share meals, engage in worship, sit under teaching, pray for one another, and spend time outside, and it is never a waste!

The theme of the weekend was redemption — that there is no waste at the altar. Every one of our young adults walks in with a different story; but the Gospel and Jesus’ work of redemption is equally powerful in all of them. It is a joy to witness the community and love of Christ in our ministry, especially through this retreat.

HARVEST 20s SMALL GROUPS

The heartbeat of our ministry // the best way to be involved in this community // our favorite nights of the week!

Small groups are starting back up in just one month, and if you’re not already involved in a small group here at Harvest, we would love to help get connected to a 20s small group!

If you signed up for 20s small group and you are new to our community, we want to invite you to our 20s Welcome Social. This will be an important next step in meeting the 20s Pastor, learning the vision behind our ministry, and meeting other young adults in our community. We also want to answer any questions you may have about small groups!

20s summer groups on disposables 📸

There are only two more volleyball nights (Aug 7 and 21) and ONE MORE pickleball night (Aug 12) left for our summer schedule! We have loved being able to enjoy our beautiful city and the later summer nights by playing games with all of you, and would love for you all to join us for our last few nights.

“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35

Year three of creative camp in Novi Sad, Serbia, was a week overflowing with unity, joy, and love. Much of our preparation with the Serbian church was filled with bold prayers for the students who would be coming to camp — and the Lord answered our prayers in so many meaningful ways.

Our team spent countless hours with Serbian and Russian students throughout the week, playing games, sharing meals, and conducting workshops in photography, inventions, art, and sports. All of these moments were opportunities to build ongoing relationships and have intentional conversations with students about Jesus. We are celebrating six students who put their faith in Christ for the first time! Students came back to church the following weekend, fired up and excited about the work the Lord is doing in their lives. There is no greater joy than seeing young people respond in faith to Jesus!

We are highly encouraged by our brothers and sisters in Novi Sad, and the ways God is moving in and through their church. Join us in praising God for what He is doing in Novi Sad, and continue to pray for our friends in Serbia!

Downtown Grand Haven is the best place to be on a Saturday morning, and Sidebar is already a favorite of so many of us!

🎾 Pickleball kicks off NEXT TUESDAY (06/10) at 7pm at Schmidt Heritage Park in GH

March Heart & Soul

Acoustic nights are special moments for our ministry, and last Friday was a powerful time of worship! 20s ministry is unique in how we gather, with a mix of worship, reflection, teaching, and community, and we love seeing all of you lean into that. Heart & Soul nights are the highlight of our month!
