Amos reminds us that the God we worship is not small! He formed the mountains, commands the wind, and reigns over all creation. Yet this same God knows us, speaks to us, and calls us to Himself!

When life feels uncertain, we often focus on the size of our problems. Amos invites us to lift our eyes and remember the greatness of our God. The One who shaped the mountains is able to sustain us. The One who directs the wind is able to guide our steps.

Today, take a moment to worship with wonder. The Lord who rules over creation is worthy of our trust, our obedience, and our praise!

In 2 Kings 25, we see the collapse of Jerusalem—human security falls apart, the temple is destroyed, and God’s people are scattered.

This passage reminds us that anything we build apart from God cannot ultimately hold.

➡️ Human security collapses
➡️ Sin fractures community and leads to isolation
➡️ Fear can drown out God’s voice when we allow it to control us
➡️ God’s glory is not contained in human structures

When we are driven by fear, we often react instead of listening. Fear pushes us toward self-preservation, but faith calls us to trust the Lord even when circumstances seem uncertain.

But even in judgment, God is still faithful. The story doesn’t end in destruction—it moves toward redemption.

Through the preservation of David’s line, God continues pointing forward to Jesus—the true King and ultimate fulfillment of His promises.

When everything else is shaken, God’s sovereign grace remains steady.

✨ The story is not about a fallen city—it’s about a faithful Savior.

📖 Keep Going in the Word! 📖

As we continue through our Bible reading plan, we're journeying through Amos, Hosea, selected Psalms, and beginning 1 Chronicles.

These passages remind us of God's faithfulness, His call to repentance, and His steadfast love for His people. Amos and Hosea challenge us to pursue genuine devotion and justice, while the Psalms help us express worship, trust, and dependence on God. As we start 1 Chronicles, we're reminded that God is at work through generations, faithfully accomplishing His purposes.

No matter where you are in the reading plan, keep pressing on! Every chapter reveals more of God's character and draws us closer to Him.

**NOTE - there is an error in this week's reading plan. This weekend we will be reading 1 Chronicles 1-5, not Isaiah 1-5**

This Father's Day, we're thankful for the dads, grandpas, stepdads, mentors, and father figures who have guided us, encouraged us, and pointed us toward what matters most.

Two of the most hope-filled words in Scripture are 'even now'.

Even now—after failure.
Even now—after wandering.
Even now—after months or years of spiritual drift.

God's invitation doesn't begin with condemnation; it begins with grace. He doesn't say, “Come back when you've fixed yourself.” He says, “Even now, return to me.”

The wonder of the gospel is that no matter how far we've gone, God's mercy reaches farther still. Today is not too late to pray, repent, trust, or begin again!

⛰️ Only Jesus: From Mount Carmel to the Mount of Transfiguration ⛰️

How long will you limp between two opinions? (1 Kings 18:21)

Elijah challenged Israel to make up their minds. Would they follow the one true God or continue chasing false gods that could never satisfy? The same question confronts us today.

🔥 Spiritual victory requires both action and prayer.
🔥 False worship always leaves us exhausted and empty.
🔥 God is not our backup plan—He is Lord.
🔥 Isolation is one of the enemy’s greatest lies.

After the fire fell on Mount Carmel, Elijah still faced fear, discouragement, and loneliness. Yet God reminded him that he was not alone.

When life feels overwhelming, when the clouds of confusion, fear, and disappointment settle in, remember this truth:

✨ When the clouds fade, only Jesus remains. ✨

Our hope is not found in our circumstances, our strength, or our performance. Our hope is found in Christ alone—the fulfillment of God’s covenant promises and the God of grace who meets us in our weakness.

➡️ Stop limping.
➡️ Trust Jesus completely.
➡️ Remember you are not alone.

As we finish 2 Kings and journey through Obadiah, Joel, Jonah, and the Psalms this week, one theme shines through: God's justice and mercy work hand in hand.

We see the consequences of turning away from God, but we also see His incredible desire to restore those who return to Him. Whether it's a nation, a city, or an individual heart, God continually calls His people back and offers grace to those who respond. "Return to Me with all your heart..." — Joel 2:12

What a reminder for us today! No matter where we've been or what we've faced, God remains faithful. His warnings are rooted in love, His discipline has purpose, and His mercy is always available.

Keep reading, keep seeking, and keep trusting. Every page points us to a God who is both holy and compassionate—a God who never stops pursuing His people.

**NOTE - there is an error in next week's reading plan. Next weekend we will be reading 1 Chronicles 1-5, not Isaiah 1-5**
