Good Morning Church, and welcome to the beginning of our Lenten journey. We will be moving through Lent on our way to Easter by taking a look at the miracles of Jesus from the Gospel of Mark. This week we start in chapter 4:35-41 with the story of Jesus being awakened from a much deserved nap and calming the wind and waves with just his words. This miracle certainly shows Jesus' love and concern for his disciples, and the power he has over creation, but it also points to the reality of who he is. This is significant because if Jesus is who he says he is, and continues to prove it, this reality changes everything. The Scriptures are right, the Messiah has come, and he will set out to save everyone and everything, but not in the way one would expect. If you would like to hear more, please join us this Sunday for worship at 10:00am.

This week, as it is the Sunday before the start of Lent, and as it is the end of our short series from the Psalms, we will be looking at Psalm 22. This is very appropriate because Psalm 22 is known as one of the most Messianic of the Psalms. To put it another way, Psalm 22 most definitely points to Christ and His suffering and death to bring about our salvation. We will discuss things like being forsaken, ridiculed, and sacrificed, but also things like trust, remembering the Lord's goodness, and salvation. It will be a nice way of entering into our journey through Lent and our celebration of Easter. See you all Sunday!

Worship Service Sunday February 1, 2026

This week we go from the reality of our lament to God to the beauty of our praise of God. In Psalm 148 every bit of creation and all the heavenly realms are called on to praise the Lord for who He is and what He has done. We will discuss what it might look like for an angel, the moon, a cloud, a tree and even a cow to praise the Lord. We will also see that our praise doesn't just consist of music and singing, it also has a great deal to do with how we live our lives. God deserves all of our praise and He deserves all the praise. Please join us this Sunday and we'll talk about it. Praying you're all staying warm, and that soon our shoveling will end! See you Sunday!

WORSHIP SERVICE — SUNDAY JANUARY 25, 2026
“Hello Everyone, this week we go from a psalm about life to a psalm of lament. It is a beautiful comfort to know that our God, through his Word, allows space for us to express our pain, our fear, our frustration, our anger and our doubt. None of us get through life unscathed. All of us at sometime in our lives experience trials, tragedies, loss and struggle, and it is good to have a place to go with all of the things that come with those times of hardship. Lament allows us to unburden ourselves of the weight our difficulties come with, and create a space for us to come back around to understanding just how we will get through what we are going through. Psalm 13 is a psalm that will help us see and do just that. Take some time to read it this week, and then join us this Sunday for worship. See you all then” – Pastor Brent

WORSHIP SERVICE — SUNDAY JANUARY 18, 2026
“This Sunday is Sanctity of Life Sunday where we discuss the truth that God and his people value life, and must protect it, from the cradle to the grave. We will be looking at Psalm 139:1-16 to aid us in our understanding of just how much we need to do in growing people's knowledge of a pro-life stance when it comes to things like abortion and euthanasia. It isn't enough to just tell the world they shouldn't needlessly take life, but we must also tell them why we believe that is true, and that our way of thinking finds its basis in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and is supported by Scripture. Plus, we'll learn how we can help those who are considering having an abortion or may have made the choice to have one in their past. Please join us Sunday for worship, we'd love to meet you!”
Peace, Pastor Brent
