Spokane Bible

Spokane Bible Spokane Bible is a true grace, dispensational, Bible church where we teach every jot and tittle. The Bible is God's word. We believe in dispensational theology.

We believe Jesus Christ, God Incarnate, paid the full penalty for man's sin when He died on the cross of Calvary. Any person, in simple faith (faith alone in Christ alone), trusting in the risen Christ as his or her only hope of heaven, refusing to trust in anything else, receives the gift of eternal life, which, once granted, can never be lost. Spokane Bible Church is an independent Evangelical l

ocal church. We desire to teach the Bible, encourage each other in the faith, and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. It reveals God, His gracious gift of eternal life through the death of His Son, the wonderful blessings that God has given to believers, how to live the Christian way of life, the future, and many other biblical truths. Our services center on the teaching of the Bible. Bible classes include verse by verse studies of the Word and doctrinal categories. Our beliefs for the future times include a pre-tribulation rapture. Study of the Word will enable believers to live the Christian way of life. We enjoy expressing our faith to God and to each other through music. We seek to fellowship and encourage each other when the church meets through Bible classes, prayer, social events, Bible conferences, and contacts throughout the week. We seek to spread the message of Christ through children's Bible clubs, Bible classes in homes, through missionary support, and through day-to-day communication with others about Christ's offer of eternal life.

NT Framework - Baptism, there is more than one.
Fri 1hr

The thing is, not every baptism is for the believer; some were for people in the past and some are still in the wings, waiting for a time in the future. And yet others are ritual only and don't affect a change at all. No wonder this topic is so controversial.

NT Framework - Two Baptisms with Two Destinations
Thu 10min

You've heard of the wheat and the chaff, one is nutritious and useful as food while the other is worthless and not even fit fro beasts. What happens to the chaff? It gets burned up. Now apply this to baptism, do you want to be baptized into fire or into spirit?

Our Future Hope 18
The Spiritual Vision Model, Israel, and the Kingdom of God

Spokane Bible Family,

Tomorrow we will look further at the Spiritual Vision Model and how it affects interpretation (hermeneutics) and how that has drastically affected how people have viewed Israel and the kingdom of God. A lot of times, indeed almost all the time, people think the issue of whether the church is Israel is about a few verses. Usually these verses are Matthew 21:43; Galatians 3:28; 6:16; Romans 9:5, and 1 Peter 2:9-10. This is not what the issue is about at all. These verses are just used by theologians who are replacement, displacement, enlargement, or fulfillment out of context in order to get some biblical support for their view. The way they use the verses is just a made up way that has nothing to do with the biblical storyline about Israel. They get away with it and convince many Christians because Christians are ignorant of the Bible. Is it any surprise they are duped by Satan? Paul said, "the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine..." (2 Tim. 4:3). We are living in that time.

Israel is the most interesting story in the Bible, and the reason is because they are the key to the whole plan of God. You say, but Jesus is. Yes, of course Jesus is; Jesus the Israelite. But Jesus the Israelite is not done with the Israelites. Without the Israelites there is no Jesus and without Jesus there will be no future for the Israelites. But they are all there. People aren't grasping the BIG picture of why God chose Israel and how He is using them to fulfill His original purpose. It is amazing how simple the story is, and it is perhaps more amazing how few Christians get it. Tomorrow we will walk through this amazing story and see what the Bible storyline really is. See the attached notes. Read ahead if you don't want any surprises!

Yours,
Jeremy

Similitudes, Instructions
Proverbs 25:11-13

11 Like apples of gold in settings of silver
Is a word spoken in right circumstances.
12 Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold
Is a wise reprover to a listening ear.
13 Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest
Is a faithful messenger to those who send him,
For he refreshes the soul of his masters.

Spokane Bible Family,

Tonight we return to our Romans study. It has been an entire month. I am ready and not ready. I am ready to teach tonight. I am not ready in all the other particulars of life that are eating up time. It is a necessary part of the situation and we just have to keep faith-resting daily. I'm sure the Lord is using it to "test our faith" so that we "consider it all joy" "knowing that the testing of our faith produces endurance," and that we should "let endurance have its perfect (maturing) result." Trials are a good thing.

We are pressing on in this section of Romans as I get my bearings. We are only going to work through seven verses, but they are important verses. I did this purposefully so that this week we can focus on something in the text I am interested in and because it allows next week to focus on something in the text I am also interested in, and hopefully will leave enough time next week to review Romans 1-15 since 15:13 is the end of the systematic section and then he begins the benediction with a long section with various names and that is also interesting.

Soon we will finish Romans and I will work on getting this in book form for you. We will then go back to Acts for a little while. Then we will work through Paul's prison epistles; Philemon, Philippians, Ephesians, and Colossians. Philemon will be fun. It is a great little book. It is one of my favorites and my seminary students always enjoy it far more than they ever imagined. I look forward to digging in deeper than I have before. But back to Acts first. So, that gives you an idea of where we are going on Wednesday nights.

I hope you will join us! I always love to see you.

Prayer is at 6:30pm.

Don't forget that Youth Group is second Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8pm. Invite a friend to come with you to our prayer and Bible class and if they have youth they can attend that with Tyler and Stacia Oliver leading.

See the attached notes.

Blessings,

Jeremy
