The ashes used in our Ash Wednesday service were made from branches used on Palm Sunday last year at both Whitworth Church and First Presbyterian Church of Moscow. Last month, the two confirmation classes had a conversation about human mortality and the meaning of Ash Wednesday. And then, with respect and care, prayed over the branches as they burned them.
Join us in worship this Wednesday (February 18) at 7 PM for the beginning of holy season with an Ash Wednesday service provided over by Pastors Bev and Sly Bullock.

This Monday (1/26) we will gather in the Sanctuary from 6:30 to 8 pm for (mostly) silent prayer and psalms. There are many places and people in need of peace, and we are people of prayer. Come, and seek God together.

Can openers! Dry milk or shelf-stable alternative milk! Birthday cake mix (with frosting, pan, and candles)! Pantry staples: flour, sugar, spices, salt & pepper, condiments, and cooking oils! Baby formula and baby food! Your favorite prepare food meals!

Oh, buddy! In 24 hours the doors will open for our 5th annual Family Fall Carnival! The rain will drive us inside, but that will not dampen our fun. We have new booths, all-time favorite booths, and a chill space to make crafts and renew for the next round of amazing games. A musical instrument petting zoo with professional musicians as handlers? You betcha. Have you ever been to an “Ugly” Pumpkin Museum? Well, we got one!

If you want an early peak, we are decorating from 9 AM until we’re done (usually between 2 and 3 PM). Costumes encouraged, but not required! And it’s totally free for the whole family.
