Make-A-Will Month: Faithful Planning for Tomorrow
In the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland, we believe that planning for the future is part of our lifelong journey of discipleship and a practical act of love for our families. In celebration of National Make-A-Will Month, we are sharing a resource to support God’s people in their faithful efforts to plan with peace of mind. Through our partnership with FreeWill, you can create a will or organize non-probate beneficiaries online, securely and at no cost in about 20 minutes. For many members, a portion of their estate will be their largest contribution to the ministries of their congregation, ensuring the future of their beloved church and its commitment to love God and neighbor. When a tree dies, its story isn't over.

Its trunk becomes shelter for insects, fungi, salamanders, small mammals, birds, and countless microorganisms. As it slowly breaks down, it returns nutrients to the soil, feeding the next generation of forest.

In nature, nothing is wasted.

A fallen tree becomes a neighborhood, a nursery, and eventually, fertile ground for new life.

One life supports many others.

Welcome back from the High Adventure Trip! Here is a note from the leadership of T1485: Many thanks to Birchbark Expeditions for a wonderful high adventure program! Nine Scouts and 4 adults had a wonderful adventure. Most paddled 47 miles, while the group who did the optional hike wound up with about 56. Great job, Troop 1485!
