Proverbs 12:25 reminds us that the weight we carry inside can become crushing, but encouragement has the power to lift people up.

This verse isn’t saying that all anxiety or depression can be solved with a positive attitude, a Bible verse, or a kind comment. Many people face real mental health challenges involving trauma, grief, brain chemistry, and circumstances that may require counseling, support, and medical care.

What Proverbs is highlighting is that our words matter. When someone is carrying a heavy burden, a timely text, a listening ear, a prayer, a note of encouragement, or simply showing up can make a real difference. We may not be able to fix what someone is facing, but we can help them carry it.

Never underestimate the power of a good word. You never know how much strength, hope, or courage someone might receive because you chose to encourage them today.

What does it actually look like to follow Jesus in real life?

Join us for our new series “James: Apprenticeship to Jesus”—where we’ll explore how real faith shows up in real life. This isn’t just what we believe…it’s how we live.

If you’ve ever wondered how to navigate trials, control your words, or live with purpose in a noisy world—this series is for you.

Come be with Jesus, become like him, and to do as he did.

Invite someone to come with you this Sunday—you never know what God might do.

“If we are crazy, it’s for God’s sake. If we are rational, it’s for your sake. The love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: one died for the sake of all; therefore, all died. He died for the sake of all so that those who are alive should live not for themselves but for the one who died for them and was raised. So then, from this point on we won’t recognize people by human standards. Even though we used to know Christ by human standards, that isn’t how we know him now. So then, if anyone is in Christ, that person is part of the new creation. The old things have gone away, and look, new things have arrived! All of these new things are from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and who gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬-‭18‬ ‭
