Faith doesn't begin or end with us.

Today we're grateful for the people who helped us know God's goodness.
And also for every opportunity we have to pass that faith along.

“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise.” - Psalm 145:3

Some of what we carry with us came from people who walked before us.
A prayer a parent or grandparent used to say.
A song we still know by heart.

A story about God's faithfulness that became part of our own story.

Psalm 145 says:

“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”

There's something beautiful about that.

Faith was never meant to belong to just one generation.

We learn from those who have walked with God longer than we have. We encourage those coming behind us. And together, we tell the stories of where we've seen God at work.

His goodness isn't confined to our own experience or our own lifetime.
It stretches from generation to generation.

Maybe this week is a good time to remember someone who helped you see the goodness of God—and to consider how your own life might quietly do the same for someone else.

Faith has a way of being passed along.
Through stories.
Through prayers.

Through the people who showed us what it looks like to trust God and the people coming behind us who are learning to do the same.

“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”
- Psalm 145:4

Some weeks leave a little more on us than others.

A conversation we keep replaying.
Something we wish we had handled differently.
Worry about someone we love.
Or simply the noise of life that has taken up more space than we realized.

Psalm 24 gives us this beautiful picture of coming into the presence of God:

“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?”

And the answer points us toward clean hands and a pure heart.

Not a perfect life.
An honest one.
A heart willing to come before God, let go of what needs to be released, and make room for Him again.

Because Psalm 24 ultimately isn't about how well we've managed the week.
It's about who is waiting for us when we turn toward Him.
