The dirt is moving, the trees are coming down, and our new campus is beginning to take shape!

After years of prayer, planning, and preparation, it is exciting to see heavy equipment on the property and construction officially underway. What has lived on paper for so long is becoming real right before our eyes.

We are grateful for God’s faithfulness and excited for what He will do in this place for generations to come.

Stay tuned. There is a lot more to come!

What a gift to see generations of faithful men serving side by side.

This weekend, our deacons gathered for a time of fellowship, prayer, encouragement, and preparation for the year ahead. We’re grateful for each of these men and for their commitment to serve the Lord, care for His church, and support the ministry of Smyrna First.

A special day for our Smyrna First family! ❤️

Today we had the opportunity to spend time getting to know Matt McCaslin and his family a little better as they begin this new season of ministry with us as Matt leads as our new Next Gen Pastor to our students.

We also shared a time of our deacons gathered around Matt, laying hands on him, and praying over him, his family, and the ministry the Lord has called him to here at Smyrna First.

We are grateful for the way the Lord has led throughout this journey and excited to see all that He has in store as we serve Him together. Welcome, McCaslin family!

Today, our widows and widowers enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship with our staff, lay leaders and deacons over lunch, encouraging one another and sharing life’s circumstances together. We are so grateful for this special group and the opportunity to remind one another that no one has to walk life’s journey alone. Thank you to everyone who helped make this gathering so meaningful. We look forward to the next time we can be together!

Happy Independence Day! We hope you’ve had the opportunity to spend time with family and friends today, celebrating the incredible freedoms we so often take for granted.

While our world isn’t what we wish it would be, we still have much to be grateful for. The freedoms we enjoy are a gift, purchased through the sacrifices of countless men and women who came before us. May we never take them lightly.

As we celebrate today, may we also remember that our greatest hope is not found in any nation, but in the Lord who remains faithful through every generation.

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

On this Memorial Day, we remember and honor the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We thank God for their lives, pray for their families, and remain grateful for the freedoms their sacrifice helped preserve.

The grave is empty.
Death is defeated.
Hope is alive!

Today is quiet.

The cross has been carried.
The tomb is sealed.
Hope feels buried… and heaven seems silent.
But this is not the end of the story.

Sunday is coming.

The grave could not hold Him.
Death will not have the final word.
Light is about to break through the darkness.

Join us tomorrow as we celebrate the victory of the resurrection and the hope we have in Jesus.
