“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13

On this Memorial Day, we remember and honor the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We thank God for their lives, pray for their families, and remain grateful for the freedoms their sacrifice helped preserve.

The cross has been carried.
The tomb is sealed.
Hope feels buried… and heaven seems silent.
But this is not the end of the story.

Sunday is coming.

The grave could not hold Him.
Death will not have the final word.
Light is about to break through the darkness.

It was the day love was poured out…

the day Jesus chose the cross—for us.

This Good Friday, we pause to remember the weight of that sacrifice—the suffering, the silence, the surrender… and the overwhelming grace that covers it all.

What a day! 🐣🚁

A huge thank you to the 850+ neighbors, families, and volunteers who joined us for today’s Helicopter Egg Drop. It was such a joy to meet so many of you and spend a beautiful morning together out on the ballfield.

The donuts disappeared quickly, the coffee kept flowing, and before we knew it… nearly 20,000 eggs were on the move!

We’d love to see you again soon—whether it’s at our Good Friday service this week at 7:00 PM, Easter Sunday at 10:45 AM, or at one of our summer activities. You can find more details at smyrnafirst.org/summer.
