Community Bible Study - Smyrna
Making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through c

Community Bible Study is an interdenominational Bible study for the community.

Who’s excited to get into Genesis tomorrow?! We are beginning with Lessons 1 & 2 where we will be digging into the Creation of the World!

The commentary gives us some thoughtful questions to ask ourselves as we dig into the very first book of the Bible! Take some time to read through and ask yourself:
• Are you eager to learn something new?
• Do you have any reservations that you need to work through?
• Are you able to be at peace with some mystery?
• Are you interested in discovering more about God?

We are excited to see you all this week!

When we open to Joshua chapter one, we meet a man who’s about to lead an entire nation into the land God promised them, which is a HUGE job.

But who is he?

There’s a whole life behind him before we ever get to chapter one… a childhood in Egypt, a name change, years spent standing next to Moses.

They’re little pieces scattered through the earlier books that start to add up once you go looking for them.

We’ve pulled together a few of them here, and there’s more waiting in the first lesson as we dig into Joshua together!

We start our study of Joshua next Wednesday, Sept 2nd, and we can’t wait to hand out your books so you can begin discovering who Joshua is and what God does through him!

We are holding two Craft Days this August, on the 12th and the 19th, at King Springs Baptist Church!

Craft Day is intended to be a fun day where we can all reconnect at the end of summer before the first day of class, all while helping prepare bits and pieces of the crafts that our CBS children will be working on throughout the year during their classes!

Everyone is welcome, including children, though there will be no explicit childcare.

Please reach out with any questions! We hope to see you there!

We saved you a seat!

Our next study starts the week of September 2nd, and we’d love for you to be in the room.

We’re spending 6 weeks in Joshua… a book about courage, obedience, and stepping into what God has promised… before we dig into Genesis this fall.

Just come as you are and see what God has for you.

Ever wonder what actually happens at Community Bible Study?

It’s not just showing up with your Bible and a cup of coffee (though that’s part of it). It’s a group of people digging into Scripture together, asking hard questions, and walking with each other through real life.

Our vision is simple: transformed lives through the Word of God.

And our mission drives everything we do: making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible study, available to all.

That last part matters to us. Available to all. Wherever you are in your faith, whatever season of life you’re in, there’s a seat for you.

If you’ve been curious about joining, this is your sign. Click the link in our bio and join us for our upcoming study of Joshua and Genesis!
