Theme: Ceasing the struggle, not the fight
Text: Psalms 46:10-11.

When God tells us to be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10), He is not calling us to apathy, denial, or a spiritual coma. The idea is more like laying down our attempts to be our own savior, our own defender, our own ultimate security.

Letting God control the steering in the midst of the challenges that confront us is key to waiting on God as He takes over the battle for us.

1. Leading a life worthy of the Gospel

2. Standing firm in the faith

3. Not being afraid

We need to stand fast against those things which will beset us.

Are we living as citizens of Heaven while we are sojourning on earth?

Today it is common to use terms referring to the people of God such as
1. The church of Christ, the church of God Rom 16:16
2. The body of Christ, the kingdom of Christ Eph. 1:22-23
3. The temple of God, the bride of Christ… 1Cor. 3:16

In the early days of the church, they were also known as people of THE WAY- Acts 9:2. Meaning following Jesus as the way in both doctrine and life.

Have you accepted Jesus as your Way to salvation and eternal life? Are you willing to become His disciple and learn from Him...?
