Shoreline Community Church Becoming a Family of Love, Acceptance, Forgiveness, and Belonging. We’re made for community and are made better together in this journey.

We know that we haven’t arrived yet, but we desire for SCC to be a healing environment where people experience the love, acceptance and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. We can’t be all that God has created us to be alone, so we need one another to understand who God is and how to be more like Jesus.

Sara shared a bit about what groups have meant to her at scc, saying...

"I joined the Wednesday women’s group with my mom when I moved to Seattle a couple years ago. Being a Christian in this city can be really challenging. It is hard for me to say how grateful I am for Judy and Sandy’s teachings, mentoring, prayers and encouragement. The small group environment has also given me the opportunity to get to really know and develop friendships with others at SCC."

Let this be your encouragement to get into a group, grow closer to God, and get to know your community of fellow followers of Christ.

What does it look like to imitate God? 💛 Pastor Tiffany walked us through Ephesians 5 and three ways we’re called to live as God’s children:

✨ Walk in the love of Christ - loving sacrificially, not self-seeking.
💡 Walk in the light - bringing darkness into the light and choosing what is good, right, and true.
🕊️ Walk in wisdom - making the most of every opportunity and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead our lives.

As we follow Christ, may our lives reflect His love, His light, and His wisdom. “Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.” - Ephesians 5:1

We are sad to see summer coming to an end for 2026, but there are still ways to be involved and have fun before fall fully kicks in. ☀

One to keep your eye out for is our Neighborhood Block Party, coming up September 20th after church! This is for the whole community, we invite you to grab some BBQ, enjoy fun with the family, be part of baptisms, and more! There will be something for everyone (and bouncy houses for the kids)!
