This week in the Genesis story the brothers who sold Joseph into slavery are now bowing before him in Egypt and they have no idea who he is, but Joseph recognizes every one of them. He tests and watches them to see if they have changed from the vicious aggressors they once were. Judah steps forward and his transformation is evident, but what about the others? This week Pastor Robert Garon preaches from Genesis chapters 42–46, asking what it looks like when God uses the worst thing that ever happened to you to save the very people who caused it. Watch here:

Join us on June 14th at 5:30pm to be with Friends from Sherwood, Newberg, and Iglesia Amigos areas for a time of inspiration, connection, and community! We will enjoy dinner, meet some new and old friends, hear from our Superintendent, Jim Le Shana, and have an opportunity to dream and speak into what God may want for our churches in the future - together!
Childcare will be offered for toddlers-grade schoolers.

Meet Joseph. He’s seventeen years old, his father’s favorite son, a dreamer, and he has no idea what’s coming. His brothers throw him in a pit and sell him to slave traders headed for Egypt. He ends up in Potiphar’s house, then in prison on a false accusation, then forgotten for two more years by the one man who could have helped him. And through all of it, the text keeps saying one quiet thing: the Lord was with Joseph. This week Pastor Robert Garon preaches from Genesis 37–41, following Joseph into the pit and asking what it means to trust a God who is present even in seasons that feel like punishment.

Our latest podcast is live! If you didn't know we had a podcast, now you do. We post it every week after our Sunday service so that you can listen to our latest Bible teaching. In this week’s message, originally shared on May 24, 2026, Pastor Robert Garon teaches on Genesis 32-36. Sometimes the most transformative moment God brings you to looks like a wound, not a victory. When Jacob wrestles with God at the Jabbok River nothing is the same. Check it out: https://pod.link/1829523019

We're all about food! Every service has food because it's good to be refreshed and it just makes everything more fun. Sunday, June 28, and yes it's a little ways out still, but we want to get our calendars ready, we're going to enhance everything we do by having our annual potluck and business meeting right after church service. Jacob has been running for twenty years. He ran from the brother he cheated, from the life he left behind, from every consequence he knew was coming. Now he’s finally headed home, and his brother Esau is riding toward him with four hundred men. Before their reunion, there’s a night alone in the dark where God shows up and refuses to let him go. Pastor Robert Garon takes us through Genesis 32–36, following Jacob into the moment he can’t outrun and finding out what it looks like to walk away with a new name and a limp.
