A marine veteran worked in business and was volunteering as a program manager in a Texas prison. Four years ago while bow hunting, he fell out of a tree and smashed his ankle. The doctors said it was like powder, and used metal and pins in the joint to make it usable.
He had constant pain, restricted mobility, and an obvious limp. He could not climb stairs without heavy reliance on a side rail. Every morning he would drag his foot down the hallway until it loosened up a bit more to be able to limp-walk.
A visiting team of business revivalist noticed his limp and offered to pray for him. He refused, saying the pain was a direct reminder of the connection he had with Jesus through the traumatic experience. Jokingly, one of the business people put his hand on the veteran’s shoulder and said, “Well, Jesus, if it is Your will, take care of this pain.”
The very next morning, he woke up and walked down the hallway. Suddenly, he realized he had no pain, full mobility, and no limp! He took time off work to go into the prison to share his testimony with the inmates. He still had some restricted movement there was phenomenal change. Eighteen months later, he was a changed, happy man, playing golf tournaments and winning trophies!
