There is something powerful about a room full of people gathered around something beautiful.

On Sunday, we had the privilege of opening our doors to the Western Reserve Chorale for their concert, Love in 3/4 Time, and what an afternoon it was!

We are grateful for the Western Reserve Chorale's artistry, their trust in us as a partner, and every person who walked through our doors, some for the very first time.

This is who we are: a gathering place for the whole community.

On Saturday, our Mobile Food Pantry served 458 of our neighbors right here in Greater Cleveland. 🙏🏾

The church is called to be a people who love, serve, and care for our community. This weekend, that calling was put into action.

To every volunteer who packed boxes, directed traffic, and stood in the heat, thank you. To every partner and donor who made this possible, thank you. To every family that received, the honor was ours.

This is what First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland is about. And we are not done!

If you want to be part of what we are building, we would love to have you. Our doors are open every Sunday.

Yesterday, our sanctuary filled up for a reason that never gets old — children crossing their first stage.

The childcare center at First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland has been one of Northeast Ohio’s highest-rated early childhood programs for years. We run a waiting list, and every June, we get to watch little people in caps and gowns remind us why all of it is worth it.

Early childhood education is one of the most consequential justice issues of our time. Quality childcare determines workforce participation, family stability, and long-term economic mobility — especially in communities that have historically been underserved by both public and private systems.

The church has always been more than a sanctuary. Sometimes it looks like this 🎓

We'll sing Brahms's beloved Liebeslieder Waltzes for chorus and four-hand piano, alongside pieces celebrating Love for the Earth, Love for Humankind, Romantic Love, and the one that keeps us all coming back, the pure joy of singing.
