The Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church was organized on June 10, 1976 at the Church of The Living God, 10305 Garfield Avenue where Rev. Coleman would serve as Pastor of the Church. The newly organized church held services in the Strowder's Funeral Chapel, 818 East 105 Street from May 30, 1976 until January 23, 1977.
