Vision Devotional:
When we have a clear vision of what our lives should look like, we find purpose. When we find vision in God we are secure and we experience life in an abundant way. When we find vision elsewhere, that is when we do not allow for God to guide our lives, we "run wild" (Proverbs 29:18). In the New Testament, Jesus wanted to teach his disciples how to fish for men (ultimately asking them to come and follow Him). At first this may have sounds weird. Why would these men leave their lives and families? But they realized that Jesus' vision for their lives was greater than their own. Just like Jesus' disciples we are invited into a greater vision for our lives. This vision is worded in a way that fits us, Welcome. The three words that we use are gospel, community, and mission. The vision is that we, as Christians, are being transformed by the gospel, engaged in community, and living on Mission. We want the gospel to be evident in our lives. We want to be active in the body of Christ. We want to serve the body of Christ. And lastly, we need to remember that "It's not about me, but its about Jesus". So whatever He is asking us to do, we do.

Questions:
1) How can you live into Jesus' vision for your life?
2) What is one action that can help you to better live on mission for Jesus?

Prayer:
Jesus, transform us to look and act more like you. Continue to use us how you will. Guide our thoughts and hearts, and help us to love on the people you call us to. Amen.
