And just like that, our True Story adventure through the book of Acts has reached THE END. Some of the best Adventure stories are about heroes on a quest. Their mission feels impossible, but they keep going, even when things go wrong. The early church had a mission to share the good news about Jesus. This mission continued even during storms. Today we met up with Paul on a ship as a prisoner being taken to Rome to stand before Caesar. Our epic adventure can be found in Acts 27:13-44. Paul and the entire sailing crew were safe even though their ship completely fell apart during the storm. God had a very clear purpose and message to deliver. Evan as a prisoner Paul shared about God's protection. God will always help us share the good news! Who is someone to whom you can share the good news about Jesus with this week? Today Ms. Lisa and Ms. Tina shared their favorite book. Lisa's is Willow, and Tina's is Where the Red Fern Grows. Parents, share your favorite book with your kids this week! And, since none of the kids have ever watched the movie of Where the Red Fern Grows, make that a summer goal. 😊 See you next week as we kick off our new series In the Beginning.

Week three of True Story was filled with epic discoveries! From our escape the middle game, to our escape room adventure, to Peter's escape from prison, our day was filled with discovery about just how big our God is! God really does hear us when we pray, but sometimes we humans aren't prepared for the WAY God answers, so much so that we find ourselves responding like the early church did, "You must be crazy!" I encourage you to read Acts 12: 1-17 together as a family this week. It's all TRUE! And then, open the Bible to Ephesians 1:15-23 and use these verses as a way to pray for each other. Put your name in. Trust us, it will charge your week! We are learning to be bold, to not be ashamed of the gospel! Why? Because.... "it is the power of God that brings Salvation to everyone who believes." Join us next week for more true stories from the book of Acts!

Week two of True Story! ABOUT THIS WEEK
A true adventure hero stays honest and does the
right thing for the right reasons. This week, we’ll see
how Ananias and Sapphira tried to make
themselves look good by hiding the truth, but their
dishonesty led to serious consequences. The good
news is that God doesn’t expect us to be perfect, but
when we choose truth, true story—God helps us be righteous.
During game time; teams raced to see which teams could eat a whole rice crispy treat the fasted. During our object lesson we learned that even when we make a bad choice God loves us. It is through Jesus resurrection, we are forgiven, loved and provided for.
The Big Idea told the True Story- God helps us to be righteous.

Impact Kids kicked off a new series this week called True Story! Throughout this series we will be learning about the true stories found in the book of Acts. To kick things off we pulled these 3 truths from Acts 1:3-11; God is sending a gift to the followers of Jesus, we receive power from Holy Spirit to tell about, live like and think like Jesus, and Jesus IS coming back again just as His followers saw Him leave!
Our Big Idea this week: " Jesus is Always with us." From Jesus himself we have this truth: I am the way, and the truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through Me!" And, that is the greatest truth of all.

To follow our lessons this month scan the code at the check in station. As parents the book of Acts calls us to take action and become disciples of Gods word.

This week in our Full Bloom series we followed along with Cleopas and his friend as they sadly walked the town of Emmaus, having left behind them Jerusalem and the events of the past three days. They, along with so many others had been hoping that Jesus was the One who would redeem Israel. Suddenly the two men were joined on their walk by a third man who asked what they were 'disputing'? As with Mary Magdalene, they didn't recognize Jesus. Before the third day ended, Jesus was invited to share a meal with the two men. Reclined at the table, Jesus took the bread, blessed it and broke it. THEN they recognized Jesus! For Mary Magdalene, it was hearing Jesus say her name; for Cleopas and his friend it was the breaking of the bread that opened their eyes? What does it take for Jesus to get our attention? In a busy noisy world filled with unmet expectations, Jesus speaks, He acts, He meets us where we are! Are your eyes and ears open? Join us next week as we wrap up Full Bloom.

Week three Full Bloom: “He is risen; He has risen indeed!”
New life is a very special gift from God thru Jesus resurrection we are given new life. In reviling our Big Idea today we learned Jesus death was necessary for us to have our sins forgiven. Scripture shares that Jesus makes all things new.

He is Risen! He is risen, indeed! Today we celebrate new life from an impossible place... the grave! During our Full Bloom series we have been watching as our caterpillars transformed into butterflies. The old body changed and made new! Mary Magdalene knew about being made new. Redeemed and restored when Jesus cast out 7 demons; she became one of Jesus' closest followers. She watched as He was crucified. She watched as His body was placed in the tomb. And, early in the morning of the third day she made her way back to the tomb to anoint His body for burial. But the tomb was open and empty! Peter and John came, saw the linen cloths and then left. But Mary stayed, she lingered , she wept. She arrived at the tomb that morning with great expectations of at least getting to see her messiah one more time even though he would be dead. But now, he wasn't there. But Jesus and his great love for Mary allowed her to be the first person to see his risen body! She didn't recognize him until he spoke her name "Mary" and then she knew! Grief turns to joy. Mary is the first to proclaim, "Jesus is alive! I have seen Him!" Jesus conquered death for Mary, and for all of us! He changes lives every day. He brings new life, because he is life! He is risen. He is risen indeed!
