Pastor Matt will be throwing out the 1st Pitch for "ALS NIGHT" Tuesday evening, June 2 at The Wichita Windsurge Ball Game ❤️✝️🙏
And yes, he has been practicing his throwing with his son Ethan ⚾️👍

ALS stands for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. It is a progressive, fatal neurodegenerative disease that targets nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. As motor neurons die, the brain loses the ability to control voluntary muscles, resulting in muscle weakness, atrophy, and difficulty walking, talking, eating, and breathing. It is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

I also want to give a "Shout Out" aka Recognition to the 'Women of Grace Fellowship - Sedgwick for all the hardwork and dedication to the church that goes unnoticed by many of us.
They are very active in our community with Bible Studies, working with the youth, preparing meals for families during difficult times, cooking and setting up for potlucks (Carry-In) in the church basement for Fund Raising, Mission work and just because they love serving others ✝️
Thank you all for being here for the Church and the Community 🙏

~ Reminder that this Sunday 5/31 is the 5th Sunday in May so that means dinner after the service in the basement. No need to cook or bring and food; that is all provided.

This morning was a "Work Day" at Grace Fellowship -Sedgwick .....
But "The Men of God" showed up and were able to get a lot accomplished in just two hours!
They had shovels, rakes, ladders, limb lobbers, hedge clippers, chain saws, blower, trailer and 22 bags of mulch ..... and two trailer loads of shrubs, trees, weeds/vines that were cut and removed taken to the burn pile.
I know these men probably don't want any recognition for what they not only accomplished today but throughout the year at the church and parsonage. But I think they deserve a thank you and a handshake this weekend 👍

"To Those Who Believe"
We hope to see everyone at the 10:45am Service or sooner for Pastor Matt's Sermon.

There is a "Work Day" (just a few hours) planned for Saturday morning 5/30 at 8 am. No special tools or skills needed! Just show up we will find something for you to do. This is just on the outside of the church (all mowing is done, shrubs, flower bed, mulch bed, pulling weeds, just sprucing up the church) Men, women, boys, girls and dogs are welcome 🙏✝️

"Memorial Day" is honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died in the line of duty. Tracing back to the Civil War, it was originally called "Decoration Day" because Americans decorated fallen soldiers' graves with flowers and flags.

All Gave Some 🇺🇸

Here are some of the local events happening right here in Sedgwick on Memorial Day. The Hillside Cemetery has a special flag ceremony presented by The American Legion, Plymouth Congregational Church has a BBQ lunch and the Sedgwick Historical Museum is having an open house from 12 pm to 2 pm
