Invitation to Confession
Confession: you have been our dwelling place in every generation. Yet we confess that we build fortresses of our own making: walls of good works we hope will save us, towers of tradition we guard more closely than your Word, gates we shut against those you have called your own. We have loved being right more than being renewed. Forgive us,
Lord. Tear down what we have built in our own name, and build us again on Christ, the one foundation. By your Spirit, reform us still, justified by grace, held by faith, alive to your Word, that we may rest secure in you alone. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Silence for Individual Confession)

WELCOME AND THANK YOU to our bag-piper, Pat McCormack, for being with us on this Reformation Sunday. We also thank our Elders and those who dressed in tartan or red clothing in celebration of the Protestant tradition.
A CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be held TODAY immediately following the service. Members are asked to remain in the sanctuary to elect elders. The nominees are: Andrew Green, Marilyn Kross, Bobbi Mosley & Irene Harpley.

“BRING YOUR CHANGE SUNDAY”: Nov. 1st. It’s Daylight Savings Time so change your clocks and bring your “pocket change” to church as an offering that will go towards our Deacon fund for emergency causes for the congregation and others in the community.
ALL SAINT’S SUNDAY, November 1st. We remember and honor our members who have gone to their Great Reward. Their names will be read and a bell rung for each of them. (Note: communion will be served on Nov. 8th and not Nov. 1st.)
