Today we mourn the death of Pope Francis. He was a pastor who led in compassion and mercy, showing the world how to lead humbly, how to care for the poor, silenced, and marginalized, and how to lift up care for the earth. While not perfect, he led by following Jesus to the end.

Next in our LGBTQ Documentary film and discussion series is: For They Know Not What They Do. November 17 after the 5:30 Mass

This documentary explores the intersection of religion, politics and gender identiy in America. This is not a commentary on the Catholic Church's teaching, but how various Christian denomiations and polititians promote and use fear and hate in our national politics.

This documentary looks at trans and gender identy. The questions we will be asking is what responsiblity does the church have in affirmed the dignity of the human person? What can we do to affirm the dignity of all of God's children with compassion and care?
