Faith-based organizations across Seattle/King County are preparing for potential federal overreach. We are grounded in the hope that through our collective efforts we can practice deep solidarity with our migrant neighbors.

Join the Church Council of Greater Seattle, Jewish Coalition for Immigrant Justice Northwest, CAIR Washington, WA Immigrant Solidarity Network -Red de Solidaridad de Inmigrantes en WA, Faith Action Network, and Intercommunity Peace & Justice Center for:

Multi-faith Convening: Migrant Solidarity on Monday, November 3 from 6:30-8:00 PM in Seattle (Doors open at 6:00, location shared with registration).

We know from our partners in other states the vital role people of faith have played to resist the federal government’s overreach and support our migrant neighbors. During this convening, we will share various ways people of faith and conscience can show up to support migrant community members now, and how to get plugged in if / when there is federal escalation.

On Saturday, May 6th, we co-sponsored an event hosted by Discerning Deacons titled Receiver Her in the Lord: Reimagining Women’s Participation in a Synodal Church at St. James Cathedral Hall. Nearly 200 participants from Western Washington, representing 40 different Catholic communities, participated in a synodal gathering to discern women’s roles in the Catholic Church. Through prayer, relationship building, reflection, and synodal discernment, individuals were able to express their hopes, lamentations, and desires after the release of the North American Final Document for the Continental Stage. Participants found meaning and purpose in the diverse prayers offered by women in the Church, appreciated time and space to engage in vulnerable and authentic conversations, and felt optimistic about the Church re-thinking women’s roles and participation.
