We’re excited to begin the process of looking for a Pastor of Family & Mercy Ministries.

We’re praying for someone who will help shepherd the next generation—from our youngest children to our oldest students—as well as the families who are raising them.

We’re also praying for someone who will help us grow in our call to mercy: serving and loving our neighbors beyond the walls of our church, including the unhoused, refugees, Title I schools, the elderly, and others in need of tangible care and faithful presence.

This is a full-time pastoral role for someone who loves Jesus, loves the church, loves families, and has a heart to see the mercy of Christ made visible in our city.

If this sounds like you, or if you know someone who may be a good fit, take a look at the job description on our website and apply by emailing your cover letter and resume to Pastor Mark.

Thanks for those of you who joined us last night during our Ordinary Time service. This was a great way to kick off the season as several of us were able to start working on our Rule of Life. At the end of the evening, Alex shared in the evening, examine from his Rule of Life that we thought would be helpful to share with you.

Join us Wednesday, June 3 at 6:30 PM as we discuss creating a rule of life as disciples of Christ! Head over to our website and download the PDF if you didn’t get one in our liturgy a few weeks back! We look forward to seeing you Wednesday night!

We had a great start to our Alpha Saturday this morning with breakfast on the sidewalk. We’re talking about the power of the Holy Spirit and his role in our lives. So good!

Ordinary Time is almost here, and we want to invite you into a season of intentional, faithful presence.

This Sunday we introduced the idea of a Rule of Life — not a rigid set of rules, but a plan for presence. A way of ordering our lives around communion with Jesus instead of hurry, distraction, and survival mode.

On our website, you’ll now find:
• A short 12-minute teaching on Rule of Life
• A downloadable PDF worksheet to help you begin building one for yourself, your household, or your community

You can explore all of that at Redemption Church Seattle

Then on June 3 at 6:30 PM, we’ll gather together as a church family to mark the beginning of Ordinary Time and continue building our Rules of Life together. Because the Christian life requires more than personal discipline — we need one another. Formation is personal, but it is never private.

We’ll also be encouraging our church to read and discuss a few helpful books together this season.
Justin Whitmel Earley will help us think about family rhythms and habits, Miroslav Volf will challenge us to consider the cost of ambition, and John Stott will help us think deeply about what the New Testament church is actually meant to be.

Start a small group. Read with friends. Take your time. Grow together.

And all throughout Ordinary Time, we’ll be preaching verse by verse through:
• Ephesians
• Philippians
• Colossians

Feel free to start reading ahead and soaking in these letters now.

Our vision remains the same:
Responding to the Gospel through faithful presence to God, self, and others.

We’re excited to get Alpha underway tonight at 6:30. Please be in prayer for our neighbors as they come and engage with some of life’s big questions and work out their thoughts on Christian faith. We have 25 people signed up to join us over the next six weeks. We trust it’ll be time well spent!

We are hosting at starting in April! This is going to be an incredible time! If you’re interested, please shoot us a message and we will follow up with you!

It’s time to worship the King!

O God, whose glory it is always to have mercy: Be gracious to all who have gone astray from your ways, and bring them again with penitent hearts and steadfast faith to embrace and hold fast the unchangeable truth of your Word, Jesus Christ your Son; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

It is the first Sunday of Lent; a beautiful invitation of God to enter a space of contemplation, repentance, and renewal of faith in Christ. Join us this morning in Greenlake!

Almighty God, whose blessed Son was led by the Spirit to be tempted by Satan: Come quickly to help us who are assaulted by many temptations; and, as you know the weaknesses of each of us, let each one find you mighty to save; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Last night, during our Ash Wednesday service, our youth group (with the help of some other kids at our church) led an effort to put together 380 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for our friends at . Over the next two days, these sandwiches will be handed out to those who are homeless, hungry, and hurting in our city as staff and volunteers meet with our homeless neighbors throughout the city.

We’re excited to partner with UGM this year as we continue our efforts to be faithfully present to others in our city.
