Today, on the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, and as we approach the anniversary of Nagasaki three days later (August 9), we remember the lives lost and renew our commitment to world peace.

A special thank you to the Seattle Hiroshima Club for co-hosting last week's Atomic Bomb Victim's Memorial Service, and to Blaine Memorial United Methodist Church, Seattle Koyasan Buddhist Temple, Konko Church of Seattle, Seattle Nichiren Buddhist Church and St. Peter's Episcopal Parish for participating.

Seattle Betsuin and the Seattle Hiroshima Club co-host this annual service, commemorating those who lost their lives in the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. Please join this interfaith service with guests; Blaine Memorial United Methodist Church, Seattle Koyasan Buddhist Temple, Konko Church of Seattle, Nichiren Buddhist Temple and St. Peter's Episcopal Parish. Everyone is welcome!
