"Be the Flute: A Light in the Dark" 🪈✨ - Rev. Liz - September 6th, 2026

Dear Beloved One,

In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelmed by conflict, division, fear, and uncertainty, it is easy to wonder where the light has gone. This Sunday, we will explore the ancient wisdom of Krishna through a Unity metaphysical lens to discover what it means to be the flute and light in the dark.

A flute makes music because it is empty enough for the breath of the musician to move through it. What might happen if we became that open within ourselves—releasing fear, ego, the need to control, and allowing Divine Love to move through us instead?

Through stories of Krishna’s childhood, the Bhagavad Gita, and the powerful metaphor of the inner battlefield, we'll explore becoming an open channel for Divine Harmony.

Join us as we learn more about our own Inner Krishna as the light that we already are.

"The Measure" 📐 - Bob Sima - August 30th, 2026

What if a concert could do more than entertain you? What if the songs could open something, shift something, remind you of something you already know—but may have forgotten?

The Measure is based off of a song of the same name. We will take a journey into the nebulous affair of measuring a life well lived. We will end up at a place that provides peace, vision, and inspired action.

Part concert. Part spiritual experience. Part journey inward. Through songs, stories, humor, reflection, and moments of deep connection, Bob creates an experience designed to move us from simply hearing the music to experiencing the message.

These are songs about the terrain we all travel: letting go, becoming, forgiveness, uncertainty, courage, love, loss, purpose, and remembering who we really are.

Come ready to laugh.
Come ready to feel.
Come ready to sing.
Come ready to be still.

When a Light Leaves the Circle

My relatives…

Today, the world lost Dolly Parton.

Many will remember the rhinestones.

The unmistakable voice.

The laughter.

And the songs that somehow became part of our own lives.

But I find myself thinking about something quieter.

A woman born into poverty
who never became ashamed of where she came from.

A woman who reached some of the highest places in this world
and still remembered the children
who had very little.

She understood that a song could accompany someone through sorrow.

That laughter could soften a difficult day.

And that placing a book into the hands of a child
could open a door long after she was gone.

Dolly Parton became famous because the world saw her.

But she remained beloved
because she never stopped seeing the world.

She saw working people.

Struggling families.

Children with dreams larger than their circumstances.

She saw those who felt different
and somehow made room for them without demanding
that everyone become the same.

In a time when so many people build their names
by dividing others…

Dolly built hers by bringing people together.

Not through arguments.

Not through anger.

But through warmth.

Humor.

Music.

And kindness.

She once said that her songs would be her legacy.

And perhaps they will be.

But legacy is not only what carries our name.

It is what continues working
after we are no longer here.

It is every child who opened a book
because she believed imagination mattered.

Every person who found comfort in one of her songs.

Every woman who saw that she could be intelligent, strong, generous, and entirely herself.

Every human being who was reminded
that humility does not require us to make ourselves small.

The measure of Dolly Parton’s life
was not simply how brightly she shone.

It was how much of that light
she chose to give away.

Tonight, one voice has grown quiet.

But the songs remain.

The stories remain.

The laughter remains.

And somewhere tonight…

a child will open a book
that arrived because Dolly Parton remembered
what it was like to begin with very little.

That, my relatives…

is how a person becomes an ancestor.

Not by refusing to leave.

But by placing something loving into this world
that continues walking after them.

Journey well, Dolly.

May you find Carl waiting for you.

And may the love you gave so freely
now surround you.

Rumi wrote, “Out beyond ideas of right and wrong, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” During this message we will explore another kind of field — the Field of Don’t-Know. It’s the place beyond trying to figure it out, beyond forcing answers, beyond the mind’s frantic search for certainty. In this field, Wisdom will meet you. Not because you chase it, but because you rest in openness long enough for it to find you.
