This life we lead in modern times is fast-paced. Pressure on all sides of life, and the cost of living, change daily. We must be restful in our daily lives, at rest, and find time to pray and rest in the Lord’s presence. His love comforts us, and His Word guides us daily as we face the challenges that often come our way that we did not plan or manifest on our own. The cost of this is that we become weary and are often tempted to give up trying to do better in life. Settling for less instead of gaining what we have hoped for.
Life is designed by the Lord, and with the Fall in the Garden of Eden, we saw a drastic change in how life would be portrayed. As we read the Bible, we note how the Lord removed Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden and allowed them to live alongside the rest of humanity. The purity of the Garden of Eden was tarnished by falling to temptation, and the presence of an Angel sealed the gate to the Garden.
The Lord God, our Father, promised the presence of Jesus who would come and crush the head of the serpent, but His heel would be bruised (Ref, to Genesis 3:15). Yes, that happened! Jesus came to pay the price for the sins committed and gave us a Savior who bore the pain and anguish that Jesus did, so that we would be saved from our sins and washed by His precious blood.
Thanks be to the Lord our God that He gave His Only Begotten Son, Jesus, to die such a horrific death, which He also gave up on Calvary’s cross. God’s mercy was portrayed through Jesus, and the healing was given to all who would ask for forgiveness, with Godly sorrow. We are saved by grace, compassion, and mercy, as Jesus was resurrected from the tomb alive forevermore.
Thank you, Lord, for giving us your grace and your mercy and a heart of repentance, in which our sorrow was felt.
