Ocean Gate Zen Center Ocean Gate Zen Center is a Soto Zen temple dedicated to supporting zazen as well as wholesome compassionate activity for self and others. Our teachers, Rev.

Ocean Gate Zen Center opened in 2007. We are dedicated to offering Soto Zen in a way that helps everyone live their life in a more productive and sane manner. Daijaku Kinst and Rev. Shinshu Roberts both aspire to inspire you to practice in your daily life, each moment, enacting the Buddha Dharma in order to help yourself and others through the Buddha Dharma teachings. Ocean Gate's teachers trained

at San Francisco Zen Center and received teaching certification from Rev. Sojun Mel Weitsman, Abbot of the Berkeley Zen Center. They are also members of the American Zen Teachers Association, The Soto Zen Buddhist Association and they are recognized by the Soto Zen Buddhist School in Japan as teachers.
