First United Methodist Church We think loving God and changing the world should start right here in Sanford, which is why we’re always trying to find new ways to Love Thy Neighborhood.

We are a community of people who have committed to follow Jesus toward a life of being loved by God, loving others, caring for each other, investing in our local community and building surprising friendships*. Join us for worship on Sundays at 10am or 5:30pm, or for other events, classes, small groups or meals shared here.

NC called the School for Conversion. They've been committed to building surprising friendships for over a decade now and we are privileged to see the power of those friendships on individuals and the wider community.

What a gift to get to partner with all the coolest folks! 👋👋🏼👋🏽👋🏾 to all our incredible partners at The Neighborhood Co-Op 💗☺️

A little magic. A lot of gratitude. ✨ This week, Dave's House surprised our neighbors at The Picnic Project during their weekly volunteer appreciation lunch - honoring the incredible people who deliver food, provide support, and help ensure no one in Sanford has to be hungry or lonely.

Guests enjoyed sweet treats, an incredible performance from See Magic Live, and an update from Ellen O'Connor on Dave's House at the Celery Community.

The Picnic Project does so much more than provide food. Through grocery assistance, cooking classes, food rescue, mobile pantries, and shared meals, they create connection, hope, and belonging for countless individuals and families throughout our community.

Thank you to The Picnic Project for all you do, and to the Neighborhood CO-OP for bringing neighbors and community partners together under one roof.
