A gentle reminder that there will be no Friday Public Mass at noon tomorrow, May 22, at Ignatius House.

May your day still hold moments of peace, prayer, and quiet grace. We look forward to welcoming you back with us next week.

And to all who will be traveling this holiday weekend, we wish you safe travels and a restful time with those you love.

As we prepare to celebrate Pentecost, we give thanks for the dedication and blessing of The Upper Room — a new sacred gathering space at Ignatius House Jesuit Retreat Center created for prayer, silence, reflection, and encounter with God.

In this video, our Development Director Megan Denton reflects with deep gratitude on the journey of bringing The Upper Room to life and on all those whose generosity, faith, and support helped make this sacred space possible.

The same Spirit that gathered the disciples in the Upper Room at Pentecost continues to move quietly through places of prayer and retreat, opening hearts and sending us forth renewed in God’s love.

✨ Happening now at Ignatius House ✨

We are gathered this evening with friends, volunteers, donors, and ISP alumni to celebrate something truly special - Ignatius House being named the 2026 recipient of the Ignatian Spirituality Project’s Company of Grace Award.

We are deeply humbled to be the first organization ever to receive this award, and even more grateful to be part of a ministry that brings hope, healing, and spiritual companionship to those recovering from homelessness and addiction.

This recognition belongs to all of you who have walked with us, supported this work, and helped create a place where hospitality and grace are not just values, but lived realities.

With full hearts—thank you. 💛

🌿 Happy Earth Day from Ignatius House 🌿

There’s a quiet connection between Easter and Earth Day - both remind us that new life is always possible. Here at Ignatius House, we see that renewal unfold every day along our wooded trails, in the stillness of the trees, and in the quiet spaces where retreatants begin to rest, breathe, and notice God again.

We were especially honored to receive a shout-out this morning in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as part of Gorgeous Georgia. Writer A.J. Willingham - one of our retreatants - captured what so many experience here: that there is a kind of beauty found not just in what we see, but in silence, in prayer, and in the peace of nature.

These 20 acres and 1.5 miles of trails are more than just beautiful - they are sacred ground. But after years of storms, parts of our trails have been impacted by erosion and now need restoration and care.

This Earth Day, and in this Easter season of renewal, we invite you to help us tend this sacred place. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to restore and preserve the trails and outdoor prayer spaces that make this experience possible.

If Ignatius House has been a place of peace for you or if you believe spaces like this matter, please consider making a gift: https://ignatiushouseretreatcenter-bloom.kindful.com/?campaign=1407949

Thank you for helping us care for this land so it can continue to welcome others into rest, reflection, and new life. 🌱

This Easter, someone will come to Ignatius House carrying more than they can hold.

And here - on quiet trails, beneath the trees - they will begin to breathe again.

These sacred grounds make that possible. But they need care.

If you believe in places where people can begin again, we invite you to be part of this.

A new flame has been lit.

Last week we welcomed the 2026–2027 cohort of Tending the Flame, our two-year formation program in spiritual direction. Their journey began with a week-long retreat - a time of prayer, silence, listening, and openness to the quiet work of the Spirit.

In the Ignatian tradition, spiritual direction is about accompanying others as they notice God’s presence in their lives. We are deeply grateful for each member of this new cohort who has said “yes” to this path of formation and service.

Please join us in praying for them as they begin this journey, and for their formation leaders - Fr. Bill, Kay, Kathy, Meg, and others - who will walk alongside them with wisdom and care.

May the flame continue to be tended with faith, humility, and attentiveness to the Spirit.

Spring blooms shining through a gloomy Georgia morning 🌸🌿

Even though the day began gray and overcast here in Georgia, the property is quietly coming alive with the colors of spring. Soft pinks, bright yellows, and fresh blossoms are beginning to dot the landscape, bringing light and life to even the cloudiest morning.

A small moment of beauty from the grounds today.🌷

Honored to support our fellow Jesuit apostolate, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, at Saturday’s Rey of Hope Gala! 💙

All proceeds benefit student scholarships, helping young people of limited economic means access a rigorous college prep education and meaningful work experiences.

We were grateful to have members of our leadership team in attendance, including Executive Director Maria Cressler, Finance & Operations Director Laura Garrison, and Jesuit priests Rev. Jim Fleming, SJ (also a Cristo Rey Board of Trustees member), and Rev. Bill Noe, SJ.

We are so glad to support their amazing work and thankful for all who make this mission possible.

Fresh from the pond… and thriving! 🐟✨

Our beloved koi are safe, sound, and clearly enjoying their freshly rebuilt pond. After their temporary stay, they’re now settling into their updated home like absolute pros — unbothered and already gliding through the water as if nothing ever happened.

Stay tuned for more posts and reels as spring buds begin to burst and we continue showcasing the refreshed and newly completed spaces around Ignatius House — all thoughtfully designed to enhance your time here with us. 🌿🌸

There’s something about early evenings at Ignatius House…

When the sky turns gold, then orange, then that deep, lingering blue. When the trees glow like they’re lit from within. When everything slows down just enough to notice.

One of the hidden gifts of working late is getting to walk the property on one of those rare evenings when there are no guests, no visitors—just quiet. Just light. Just awe. The whole place feels like it’s holding its breath in gratitude.

You might also spot the newly rebuilt koi pond in one of these photos 👀 She’s looking beautiful again.

P.S. The fish are alive and well—proof-of-life photo coming soon. 🐟✨
