Statement from Chabad of Georgia
With shock, outrage, and profound sorrow, we at Chabad of Georgia join the global Jewish community in mourning the horrific and senseless murder of Rabbi Tzvi Kogan, a devoted shliach of the Rebbe, in the United Arab Emirates.
Rabbi Kogan was a shining example of selflessness and dedication, working tirelessly to bring light, Torah, and acts of kindness to those around him. His tragic death is not only an unbearable loss for his family and community but an attack on the sacred mission of spreading goodness and love in the world.
Our hearts are broken for Rabbi Koganβs wife and family. We stand with them in grief and in prayer, and we are committed to honoring his legacy by continuing the work he held so dear.
In the spirit of his lifeβs mission, we urge everyone to perform an additional mitzvah or act of kindness in his memory, ensuring that the light he brought to the world continues to shine even in the face of this tragedy.
To support Rabbi Koganβs family during this devastating time, a fund has been established to assist them: https://raisethon.com/zvi. We encourage all who can to contribute generously.
As we mourn this unimaginable loss, we pray for a world where such tragedies cease to exist. May there be lasting peace in the world and in the Land of Israel, and may we merit the ultimate redemption speedily in our days.
Rabbi Yossi New
