What could our gifts do, woven together?

This Sunday is Commitment Sunday, the final week of IMPACT. As we offer our Estimate of Giving Cards for 2027, we pray this prayer together, asking God to bless each commitment and gather them into something bigger than any one of us: abundant love shared with a world mired in scarcity.

Bring your furry, feathered and scaly friends to the church front lawn for a Blessing of the Animals on this Sunday, Oct. 25, from 4–5 p.m. All creatures are welcome, from dogs and cats to guinea pigs, reptiles, pigs and birds, and we’ll have water and treats on hand.

Please enter the parking lot by the funeral home, and bring a lawn chair or blanket if you’d like a seat.

Every name tells a story of love. 🕯️

Our All Saints altar cloth is filling up at the Abernathy Arts Center, and you’re invited to add the names of your loved ones next week, joining them to the great cloud of witnesses.

Then join us Sunday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m. for All Saints Sunday. We’ll light a candle for each saint who has entered eternal life this past year and for our church’s founding saints, with music from a string quartet. All are welcome!

Our friends at Lake Forest Elementary are hosting their Trunk or Treat, and we’re joining the fun. Pick up an extra bag or two of candy this week and bring it with you to worship this Sunday at the Abernathy Arts Center.

Every piece helps us share a little sweetness, and a lot of love, with our neighbors!
