Today, September 8, we joyfully celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary — the birth of the woman whom God chose to become the Mother of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

May Mary continue to lead us closer to her Son and inspire us through her humility, faith, obedience, and love.

What birthday gift can we offer Mary today?

Registration began on Monday, August 3, and continues every Sunday thereafter.

📍 Please register in the Pope Francis Building.

Classes Available:
• First Communion
• Confirmation Continuing Education
• Confirmation Preparation
• OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults)

📅 Classes begin Sunday, September 20.

📄 Required Documents
Please bring the required documents based on the class you are registering for.

These may include:
• Birth Certificate
• Baptism Certificate
• First Communion Certificate (if applicable)

Bringing the appropriate documents will help ensure your registration is completed without delay.

Join us as we celebrate the Feast of St. Lawrence, the Patron Saint of our parish!

St. Lawrence was a deacon of the Church in Rome who dedicated his life to serving the poor and proclaiming the Gospel. When ordered to surrender the Church’s treasures, he presented the poor, saying, “These are the true treasures of the Church.” For his unwavering faith in Christ, he was martyred on a burning grill on August 10, A.D. 258, becoming a powerful witness of courage, charity, and joyful service.

¡Acompáñanos a celebrar la Fiesta de San Lorenzo, Santo Patrono de nuestra parroquia!

San Lorenzo fue diácono de la Iglesia en Roma y dedicó su vida al servicio de los pobres y al anuncio del Evangelio. Cuando las autoridades le exigieron entregar los tesoros de la Iglesia, presentó a los pobres y respondió: “Estos son los verdaderos tesoros de la Iglesia.” Por su fe inquebrantable en Cristo, fue martirizado sobre una parrilla al rojo vivo el 10 de agosto del año 258, convirtiéndose en un ejemplo de valentía, caridad y servicio fiel al Señor.

📢 Catholic Charities Food Distribution Update

Please note that the Catholic Charities food distribution scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, at St. Lawrence has been canceled.

Catholic Charities teams are currently assisting with flood disaster relief efforts in several counties across South Texas. Because of this, regular food distributions in the San Antonio area will be suspended until further notice.

We appreciate your understanding and ask that you keep all those affected by the flooding, as well as the volunteers and first responders, in your prayers. 🙏

We will share updates as soon as regular distributions resume.
