CBC Response Team is hosting a Call To Action Breakfast, Saturday, September 12th! This will be a time for our Response Team to come together over breakfast, hear updates, learn about changes and upcoming opportunities, and receive training that will help us be better prepared to respond.

Whether the call is to help a neighbor with a physical need, tackle a local service project, or deploy to a community recovering from disaster, we want to be a team that’s ready when the call comes.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 12th!

CBC Response Team will be hosting an informational breakfast & training for all Response Team members and CBC All-Stars who are interested in serving. This will be a time for our Response Team to come together over a good meal, hear updates, learn about changes and upcoming opportunities, and receive training that will help us be better prepared to respond.

Whether the call is to help a neighbor with a physical need, tackle a local service project, or deploy to a community recovering from disaster, we want to be a team that’s ready when the call comes.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT: Free Tacos & Prayer 🌮🙏

This past weekend at Saturday Serve, our CBC All-Stars and volunteers served the community at the new 151/410 campus by handing out H.E.B gift cards, free tacos and water, and offering prayer. Campus Pastor Adrian Mecías also led a prayer walk with CBC 151/410 volunteers at John Jay High School, interceding for the incoming students and faculty.

We got to love on our community, lend a helping hand, and remind people that they are seen, valued, and loved. What a privilege it is to be the hands and feet of Jesus!

This LoveSA project was all about lightening the load. Our incredible project lead went above and beyond to lead a team in helping clean Hobby Middle School, supporting the custodians and facilities team who work tirelessly to care for the campus.

Thank you for leading with humility, compassion, and a servant’s heart. Small acts of kindness make a lasting impact, and this is what loving our city looks like. 🧡
