VBS DAY 2: God knows everything!
..And He knew we would need many helping hands and servant hearts to make this week of VBS a success. So He provided us with the best volunteers we could ask for! Over 700 volunteers are here this week serving as crew leaders, games helpers, Bible teachers, integrity protectors, tech volunteers, registration coordinators, and so much more, all to keep this week fun and safe for these kids. We couldn’t do VBS without them. Thank you, volunteers! 💚

VBS DAY 1: God is our creator!

Welcome to Rainforest Falls! 🌴🦜 One of the best weeks of the year at Concordia is officially underway. What an incredible first day of VBS 2026 exploring the nature of God, our creator and friend! We’ll see you back here tomorrow, same time and same place for day two!

In the opening chapters of Kings, Solomon asks God for wisdom and God graciously gives it! We see in Solomon’s prayer from 1 Kings 3 a testament to what King Solomon could have been: a king who listened, discerned, governed with justice, and modeled faithfulness for God’s people.

But as Solomon’s story unfolds, we discover a sobering truth: great wisdom can’t save a heart divided. His actions cause consequences that ripple through his family and his nation. Week 1 of this series reminds us that our hope isn’t built on the wisdom, strength, or success of any earthly leader. Our hope is built on Christ, the faithful Son of God, whose wisdom takes the shape of a cross and whose reign brings life to His people.

It's been an amazing first week of summer sports camps at Concordia! Our youngest campers in grades 1-5 spent this week discovering a variety of sports and learning basic fundamentals in each one. With about 80 kids here on campus to play hard and have fun, it was an awesome kick-off to a summer full of sports camps! 🏀🏈⚽️

We have many camp offerings throughout this summer, and signups are open with opportunities for students entering grades 1-8. These camps are open to the community, so be sure to invite a friend! Learn more and sign up at concordia.school/summer-sports-camps.

Sometimes, we don’t just share Jesus with our words. Sometimes, our witness to others happens in the quiet moments of comforting a friend, welcoming a stranger, or forgiving an enemy.

That is how the love of God becomes visible. That is how we love, serve, and shine!

Tomorrow is a JUBILEE SUNDAY!

What is Jubilee Sunday? Four months out of the year have five Sundays, and the fifth Sunday of those months is what we call Jubilee Sunday. Anyone who feels called to come forward to be baptized or reaffirm their faith will be given that opportunity after each of our three services on Sunday. If you have felt a pulling on your heart to officially join the family of God in this way, or if you just want to come and bear witness to a truly joyful event, please join us at 8, 9:30, or 11am tomorrow, May 31 for Jubilee Sunday!

This place is turning into a tropical rainforest right before our eyes, thanks to our wonderful summer interns! They have been hard at work the last few weeks prepping, cutting, gluing, painting, you name it - all to make sure that VBS 2026 is an incredible experience for the nearly 900 kids registered to attend in two weeks!
