Village Hills Fellowship Healing past hurt, growing in Christ, impacting your community. Training soldiers for Christ.

Sometimes we can go through a situation for so long that it begins to change how we see, how we respond, and even what we believe.

The good news is that Jesus is still the author and finisher of our faith.

So if you fall, get back up. If you struggle, keep going. If your faith feels weak, go to Jesus anyway.

Whatever you do, don’t stop coming to Him.

As the great Hannibal Smith from The A-Team always said, “I love it when a plan comes together.” 😄

But it’s even better when you realize God was putting the plan together all along.

Monday afternoon, Katrina Morganwalker messaged me about someone who had a 30-foot RV trailer he was willing to give away. It needed some work, but it was free, and he was about to leave, so we had to move quickly.

I called Bernard and asked him to give me a few moments.

Then I called Chico.

Sure enough, Chico knew a family who was in desperate need of another trailer. The only problem was the $200 transportation cost.

Chico took care of it.

And just like that, one person had something to give, another person made the connection, someone else knew the need, and another person stepped up to cover the cost.

This is what community looks like.
This is what serving one another looks like.
This is what love looks like. ❤️

Sometimes we think we have to personally have the resources to solve someone’s problem. We don’t. Sometimes our greatest contribution is simply knowing someone, making a phone call, sharing a need, or saying, “I can help with that.”

I praise God for the people in our community who continue to show up for one another.

If you have a specific need, please let us know. We may not always be able to meet that need directly, but we may know someone who can.

People helping people. Neighbors helping neighbors. Love put into action.

That’s the kind of community we want to build.

Blessings! ❤️

Forgiveness can be one of the hardest things God asks us to do—especially when the hurt is deep.

In this short introduction, Hamp shares honestly about his own struggle with forgiveness and what God has been teaching him through it. This conversation continues in two parts:

Part 1 — Distance from people doesn’t remove the need to forgive them
https://youtu.be/E6n3MM-lKVQ

Part 2 — What forgiveness looks like: Five Steps.
https://youtu.be/3yO7eJLeoxA

If you are struggling to forgive, these are five steps Hamp has learned to walk through:

1. Pour out your heart before God.
2. Keep the Word in front of you.
3. Listen to a song of worship that ministers to you.
4. Surround yourself with godly family and friends.
5. Be ready to crucify your flesh.

Watch the short introduction, then follow the links below for Parts 1 and 2.

Our prayer is that God meets you in your place of hurt and helps you take your next step toward forgiveness, healing, and freedom.

I’m spending some time studying John 13:31-16:33 and looking closely at the things Jesus told His disciples so they could have peace in the middle of trouble.

Jesus never promised them an easy road, but He prepared them for the road ahead.

Over these chapters, He reminds them who He is, teaches them to love, promises the Holy Spirit, calls them to abide in Him, prepares them for opposition, and assures them that He has already overcome the world.

If you need peace today, these words of Jesus are worth sitting with.
