What a great day in New Braunfels! 🙌✨

We gathered at a beautiful home in the Hill Country for our Alpha Holy Spirit Day — and it was everything we hoped for.
From meaningful conversations around the table, to worship in beautiful weather, to gatherings around the the cedars and oaks, the Holy Spirit showed up in quiet, powerful, personal ways.

Table leaders and guests alike left different than they arrived.

This is what Alpha is all about — creating space for honest questions, real community, and an encounter with God that you don't have to manufacture.

Grateful for everyone who came, served, hosted, and opened their hearts. 💛

If you've been curious about faith or have questions you've never felt safe asking out loud, Alpha might be exactly what you're looking for. Our next course is coming in early September — stay tuned!

Here's something you might not know about being a portable church — Google Maps regularly removes us from their platform, and when that happens, we lose ALL of our reviews and visibility overnight. 😔

If you've ever called Mission Vineyard home, or if we've meant something to you, would you take 60 seconds to leave us a Google review? It's one of the simplest ways to help someone searching for a church in San Antonio find us.

We are saddened to share the passing of Jesse Blanco, Jr., who went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2026, at the age of 79. Jesse was a beloved husband, father, grandfather — and one of the founding pillars of Mission Vineyard.

In our earliest days, Jesse gave us more than we could have asked for. He wrote our bylaws, taught Christian theology before our Sunday gatherings, and occasionally preached to our small but growing family. But beyond his many gifts, what we remember most is the man himself — generous, noble, and quietly faithful. He had a way of deflecting credit with a laugh and a shrug — 'Quien soy yo?' — as if the gifts he poured into people cost him nothing. They didn't cost him nothing. He just gave them anyway.

Jesse had a way of investing in people. He believed that growth happens in relationship, and he lived that out — sometimes across a lunch table, refusing to speak English just to push you further in Spanish. His investment in Mission Vineyard's leaders helped make possible what God has done through us, including the planting of Viña San Antonio.

Join us in prayer for his beloved wife Barbara, his children and grandchildren, and a host of church families, and pastoral journeys whose story he helped write.

If Jesus is alive there is enough love to go around. What can community abundance look like? What would it look like to grow together, with our neighbors and church family, in God's love? A new sermon series is beginning this Sunday April 12th. Bring your friends.
