Arms of Comfort is a Ministry that was established in 2004 by Esther Vargas and birthed through the passion and prayers of the local church at Southside Assembly of God in Savannah, GA. This Ministry was started with the desire to fill the need of the military and the constant need to support those families of deployed service members. mom.. Her husband Francisco (Frank) Vargas has served on multiple combat tours, and retired from the Army in 2019 after 31 years of service. Both Frank and Esther desire to share their experience and love of the Lord, and His Word with others seeking a place of comfort and support. Arms of Comfort was reestablished at CT|Church, San Antonio, TX, in January of 2023. CT|Arms of Comfort has included First Responders and their families. The Military and First Responder way of life is a unique way of life. It is a unique culture that faces challenging needs and issues associated with the military and first responder way of life. Frank and Esther Vargas lead this ministry, and are both licensed Ministers through the Assemblies of God. Our vision is to be a community of believers that exists as one body, coming together in an effort to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the Earth.
