Networking & Training Opportunities:
• PASTORAL RENEWAL GATHERING, REV. DAN HYUN (SEAFORD, DE, SEPT 17, 10:00AM – 12:30PM): If you have met our BCMD’s Director of Formation and Health, then you know he has a heart to invest and equip pastors in ways that are often overlooked. Dan will be putting together a seminar in partnership with the EBA to address emotional support as well as intentional soul care. Free lunch provided by the EBA. • NOTHING IS WASTED (HIGH TIDE CHURCH, DAGSBORO, DE, SEPT 12, 9:00AM – 12:00PM): This half-day leadership training is a foundational guide to trauma, how it affects the body, mind, and spirit, and how churches can become spiritually and emotionally safe places for healing. • PREACHING FOR LIFE CHANGE, DR BRIAN MOSS (SALISBURY,MD, SEPT 23, 9:00AM – 4:00PM): Is your preaching changing the HEARTS and LIVES of your people? Let’s face it, our sermons can MAKE or BREAK the church. Powerful preaching can propel the church. Poor preaching will plummet the church. • INTERIM PASTOR TRAINING (ELKRIDGE, MD, SEPT 26, 9:30AM – 2:00PM): Equip yourself with the skills and knowledge to lead churches through transitional periods with confidence and wisdom. This workshop offers practical tools and insights for effective interim leadership. The EBA will cover the cost of any pastor wanting to do this training who is a member of an EBA church. • EASTERN SHORE BIBLE CONFERENCE (October 9-10, Lynnhaven Baptist Church): Lynnhaven Baptist Church in partnership with FBC Pocomoke City, and the BCM/D is pleased to host the first annual Eastern Shore Bible Conference themed: Jesus: Like No Other. • EBA ANNUAL MEETING (Sunday, October 15th, at 6:00 PM at location TBD). We’ll gather for a time of worship, fellowship, and hear updates about our cooperative work together here on the shore, regionally, and internationally. • SPECIAL NEEDS / DISABILITIES LAUNCH PARTY (NOV, 2026): Several EBA church leaders and your BCMD state leaders have been working hard to create a new program alongside Southeastern Theological Seminary. The hope is to have this program ready by the fall to help any church leader who wants to launch a disabilities ministry within their church. At this event we will have a launch party of the Cert Program and role it out to all of our partner churches.
• Worship Consultation: Need a person to help you with your next steps in your worship ministry or just need to chat about an issue within worship? Contact Pastor Grant Lauterbach @ 410-971-3813. Several EBA churches have connected with him since his our last luncheon and have said their interaction has been worth it!
