Many changes happening in our parish!

Father Burkemper wrote in this weekend's bulletin.

"This is Fr. Ge**er's final weekend as he departs to his new assignment in Montana. Fr. Ge**er has served our parish and school well for the past three years, notably as the Senior Theology teacher at Valle Catholic, as well as his book studies and dedicated priestly ministry. Changing priestly assignments is never easy, and when it involves a move across the country, it is even more challenging! Please continue to keep Fr. Ge**er in your prayers."

At all Masses this weekend, Fr. Burkemper announced that due to a chronic health condition diagnosed a few months ago, his assignment in Ste. Genevieve will conclude at the end of June. At that time, he will go on a medical leave of absence from ministry.

June 21st will be Fr. Burkemper’s final Sunday at Sacred Heart and Our Lady, Help of Christians, and June 27th-28th will be his final weekend at Ste. Genevieve.

Archbishop Rozanski has appointed Fr. Thomas Keller as the new pastor of Ste. Genevieve, Sacred Heart, and Our Lady, Help of Christians Parishes and new President of Valle Catholic Schools, effective 1 July 2026.

Fr. Keller grew up in South St. Louis County and was ordained in 1997. He has been assigned previously to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, the Cathedral Basilica, the faculty of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, and St. Angela Merici. Since 2014, he has been the pastor of Assumption Parish in Mattese (St. Louis County).

Fr. Keller excels in parish and school administration. Though small town and rural life is largely foreign to him, he is very excited to immerse himself in the culture and history of Ste. Genevieve County and Valle Catholic Schools.

Please pray for Fr. Keller, Fr. Burkemper, and all priests and parishes experiencing change in the weeks ahead.

June 7th is Corpus Christi, Body of Christ, Sunday!

Join in our Annual Corpus Christi Procession after the 9:30 Mass.

All are Welcome! No RSVP needed:

Please join us at the 9:30am Mass on June 7th for this sacred practice of honoring our Blessed Lord in the Sacrament of the Altar. Let us honor His Greatest gift of His very Self!

There will be a Eucharistic Procession after Mass proceeding around the block and ending back in Church. This will be followed by a reception in the DuBourg Center afterwards.

First Communicants (this year):
Come wearing your First-Communion garments and process directly behind our Lord in the procession. You will be guided, so you know what to do.

Parish/Community Groups:
If you have a group that would like to process together, please contact the parish office to let us know.
