At our worship service, you will see a lot of variety. There i

s a variety of music, ages, dress (some are fairly casual, some show up in suits), and worship experience. One thing we hope is constant that you encounter Jesus.

Today Principal Matt Jakobsons challenged the Senior Class of 2026...What will you choose when the choice is finally yours?

Our graduates heard a powerful challenge this weekend: for years, others chose their faith community for them. Now, as they step into adulthood, the question becomes deeply personal—will they continue to participate in this community by their own choice?

In a culture of restlessness, anxiety, and endless personalization, belonging isn't built through customization. It's built through commitment. Through staying. Through serving instead of consuming. The greatest threat isn't moving away—it's the constant search for something better rather than investing deeply in what we already have.

Here's the beautiful truth: we're not made just to find community, but to build it. Like 1 Timothy 4:12 reminds us, we're called to be examples in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Not merely to consume experiences, but to practice "placemaking"—intentionally creating spaces where people want to belong.

Wherever God leads you next, invest. Serve. Stay. Love. Because the places that shape us most are the ones we help create. This is where you belong.

Have you heard His voice this week? More importantly—have you seen Him?

Like the disciples on the road to Emmaus, we sometimes walk with Jesus without recognizing Him. Our eyes see, but we don't truly perceive. This powerful message reminds us that Jesus walks with us uninvited, but waits for our invitation to dwell with us. When Bartimaeus cried out "Son of David, have mercy on me!" his simple faith gave him sight—and he immediately followed Jesus.

We don't need to understand everything to follow Him. We don't need perfect doctrine or degrees. We need faith that opens our eyes to see Jesus face to face—not just as a man, not just as a prophet, but as Lord. When we truly see Him, we fall at His feet in worship and live His love daily.

The promise is clear: "We shall behold Him, face to face in all His glory." But the question for today is—will you see Him now?

Can you hear His voice? This Memorial Day weekend, we explored the profound story of two disciples walking to Emmaus, so caught up in their disappointment they couldn't recognize Jesus walking beside them. How often do we miss His presence because we're focused on our crushed hopes and preconceived ideas?

Isaiah 35:5-6 promises that "the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped." God is calling us to truly HEAR—not just listen, but let His word live inside us through the Holy Spirit. He wants to speak to you personally, to open channels of communication that transform your life.

This week, be intentionally aware of what God might be whispering in your ear. In the silence, in the chaos, through Scripture and prayer—He is speaking. Will you listen? "Ephphatha"—be opened! Your Savior walks beside you still, and nobody can take you out of His hand.

What do you see when you look in the mirror? This week's message reminds us that God's Word is the perfect mirror—showing us not just who we are, but who we're meant to be in Christ.

James 1:22-25 challenges us: don't just look at your reflection and walk away unchanged. Instead, gaze intently into God's Word and let it transform you from the inside out. You're not defined by gray hair, wrinkles, or past mistakes. You're a beloved child of God, fully embraced and accepted through Jesus.

More thoughts from Pastor Marvin's Mother's day message from last week!

Just like David, the shepherd boy God chose over his seven brothers, God sees what others miss. He sees the unseen—the quiet prayers, the invisible sacrifices, the faithful hearts. To every mother celebrated this weekend: God sees you. Every sleepless night, every unnoticed act of love, every prayer whispered in the dark—He sees it all.
