Churches have often not been welcoming or safe places for LGBTQIA+ people. Churches have often forgotten to follow Jesus' foundational commandment "...that you love one another: just as I have loved you” (John 13:34).

Too many have suffered church-based trauma or have never heard that God loves us.

To anyone reading this:
You ARE loved!
You ARE beloved of God!

Westminster, let's share the message of love and belonging with the greater Sacramento community and reaffirm to our LGBTQIA+ members that we will continue to learn and listen to better support and uplift LGBTQIA+ people as beloved children of God.

Westminster will have a booth at Sacramento Pride on the 13th & 14th. Please get in touch with Joseph Gormley ([email protected]) if you would like to volunteer for a shift at the booth!

📸 Making unforgettable memories with kids and youth at the All Church Retreat!

One highlight was our Fruit Loops activity where they learned to express empathy through colorful bracelets. Using their walk to the beach to discuss their feelings, the fruit loops were color coded- Orange was excited, Yellow was happy, and Purple was caring for our friends. They discovered so many vibrant feelings and enjoyed some tasty treats! The rest of the weekend was filled with nature, games, and intergenerational fun.
