David Eugene Hodge Obituary

David Eugene Hodge, 77, of Rutledge passed away peacefully at The Serenity House in Morristown on January the 6th 2026. He was a member of Narrow Valley Baptist Church. He was retired from American Enka-BASF after 35 years.

He is proceeded in death by his wife and devoted friend C**a Keck Hodge, stepson Robbie Howell, parents, Jethro and Virgie Hodge, brothers Charles and Ray Hodge, sister Margaret Hodge Turner.

He is survived by daughter Angela Hodge Roberts, son Chris Hodge (Lori), grandchildren Tiffany Lawson (Ryan), Josh Howell, great grandchild Rowdy Howell, brother Clifford Hodge (Carolyn), sister Peggy Hodge Johnson (Charlie), caregivers Anna Halbert and Jeannie Watson Alexander.

Family will receive friends Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 12-2 pm at Smith Reagan Funeral Home with funeral immediately following with Rev. Shane Pierce, Rev. Stacey Lawson and Ryan Lawson. Graveside services will be following funeral at Narrow Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Williams, George Williams, Terry Wolfe, Mark Dalton, Bobby Combs, Ryan Lawson.

Honorary Pallbearer Jackie McDaniel, Johnny Baker, Hank Rasnic, Steve Blanken and Billy Joe Morgan.

In lieu of flowers, donations requested to be made to Friends of Hospice Serenity House, 421 North High Street Morristown, TN 37814.
