Fall Revival starts TONIGHT!

We would love for you to join us this morning for our regular Sunday services with Bro. Patrick Patterson!

9:30 AM – Sunday School
10:30 AM – Worship Service

Then, beginning tonight and continuing through Wednesday, we’ll gather each evening at 6:00 PM with Bro. David Muse leading our revival services!

We’re looking forward to a wonderful week of worship and fellowship, and we hope you’ll make plans to join us! Everyone is welcome!

It has been another special day at Union as we got to celebrate two people who are very special to our church family, Jacob and Brooke!

Jacob has been part of Union for many years, and as our pastor’s son, we’ve had the privilege of watching him grow up right alongside us. We’ve watched him through his high school years, college years, and so many different seasons of life. Now, we get to watch him begin one of the biggest seasons yet as he becomes a husband.

Brooke has also been part of our church family for many years and has so many special ties to Union. Over the years, she has become such an important part of our church family and if there’s a special event at Union (VBS, fellowship meals, etc), chances are Brooke has taken the lead on decorating for it!

We are so thankful for them both and excited to watch them begin this new chapter together. Please join us in praying for Brooke and Jacob as they enter this new season of life and that the Lord will bless their marriage, guide them through every season ahead, and give them many happy years together. ❤️

*A special thank you to our church family for coming together to make today so special. Sherry Redmon provided two beautiful cakes, and Brooke Begley and Katy Rexroat did a wonderful job decorating the hall. So many others helped by bringing dishes, lending a hand, and showing up to celebrate this sweet couple. We are so grateful for each of you!

It is hard to put a day like yesterday into words.

We have a lot of special days at Union, but getting to ordain someone into the ministry doesn’t happen all the time, and that made yesterday one we won’t soon forget. Our church was full of family, friends, fellow believers, and so many people who came to support Bro. Aaron Poynter as he was ordained into the ministry and steps into this new season of serving the Lord.

There are so many thank yous that need to be said.

First, we are so thankful for our pastor, Bro. Patrick Patterson, who led the service and did a wonderful job. We appreciate his leadership, his guidance, and the heart he has for our church.

We are also so thankful for our deacons and each of the ordained men who came to serve on the council. Our benches were full and even overflowed into extra seats and that’s a pretty good problem to have! Thank you for the words of encouragement and wisdom you shared, and most importantly, for surrounding him in prayer.

A special thank you to Aaron’s grandfather, Bro. Roger Poynter, for bringing the charge. Bro. Roger is such a special person in Aaron’s life, which made it even more memorable to hear him share such heartfelt and important words as Aaron begins his ministry.

Thank you to our church family, friends, loved ones, community members, and everyone who came through the doors to be a part of such a special day. Thank you to Baylee Hart for these photos. They are treasures forever.

And last, but certainly not least, thank you to the beyond talented Yvonne Emerson for sharing her beautiful gift of music with us. We are so thankful for the way she used the gift God has given her to add to such a special service.

As Bro. Aaron begins this new season of ministry, we ask our church family and friends to keep him and his family in your prayers. Pray that the Lord gives him wisdom, strength, courage, and a heart that always stays focused on Him.

We are thankful the Lord allowed our church to be a part of this special day. May God bless him, guide him, and use his ministry for His glory for many years to come.
