A note on upcoming opportunities for Youth:

Greetings from Watertown! Our St. James Armenian Church ACYOA Juniors chapter is once again happy to host the annual Hye M’rtsoom ACYOA Junior Sports Weekend this Memorial Day Weekend. The event will take place Friday, May 22 - Monday, May 25, and is open to ACYOA Juniors (ages 13-18) from throughout the Diocese. The weekend will include sports competitions, faith, and fellowship. Full weekend details, registration materials, and all relevant information will be sent to parishes this week.

If your parish plans to send participants to Hye M’rtsoom: please click here to fill out the online Chapter Contact Information Form, designating the main person who will coordinate registration and logistics, including chaperones, travel and transportation, for your parish.

This is a special year, as our St. James ACYOA Seniors will also be hosting the 2026 ACYOA General Assembly & National Sports Weekend in the Boston area. Full details and registration information for the ACYOA Senior Sports Weekend may be found here.

Please note the following reminder: In order to be eligible to participate in the ACYOA Senior Sports Weekend, participants must be at least 18 years of age AND have graduated from high school prior to the 2025-2026 academic year. All ACYOA Juniors who are in their senior year of high school this year (2025-2026) may participate in the ACYOA Juniors Hye M’rtsoom weekend, and are not yet eligible to participate in the ACYOA Senior Sports Weekend. Thank you for your cooperation and support in communicating this guideline with the youth of your parish.

Our entire St. James parish looks forward to welcoming ACYOA Juniors and Seniors from throughout the Diocese to Watertown for a truly memorable weekend, as we mark the 80th Anniversary of the ACYOA.
